Anyone else have problems with the new updates from May 8? I loaded the new .cfg, .air and model files and both the passenger and freight versions bounce themselves into the runway when starting to taxi. I had saved the old .cfg files and it works fine, apprently, with the new .air files. For the first time I didn't save the old model and .air files when installing the new. A mistake on my part or is there a problem in the new files?

I just downloaded the new files and checked them against what I have on my computer and they are exactly the same, so there was "nothing lost in the translation" between what I gave to Mark and what was uploaded.
I also did a quick test flight at MTOW as well as taxiing around on both tarmac and dirt. I also emptied out the plane and did the same...... I can't get anything like you describe.
Is it excessive strut excursions, or "froggy" bounces?
$64,000,000 question: was this with default scenery??? The contact points were adjusted slightly (see thread in this forum) to keep the tires from sinking in the ground. If you are using another mesh/scenery I think these can be displaced by a few inches abouve the FS default surface and has been known to cause aircraft bouncing depending on where teh aircraft contact points are set.

Mike, If I taxi forward slowly a few feet the main undercarriage starts to bounce. It just keeps bouncing higher and higher until the plane crashes into the tarmac. The problem accelerates even quicker if you apply the brakes after taxiing ahead a few feet.
I tried it an airport that I know for certain I have no add-on scenery of terrain/landclass add-ons. Same thing happened there.
I am going to downlaid all files again and install a fresh copy of the airplane and see if it still happens. I'll post again when I know.

In the meantime, could you give me the specific airports (default) where it happens?
Thanks.

I downloaded and installed the base pack as is, no extra textures, left the default 747 panel and sounds just as it is in the basepack. I tried it at Auckland, Cairo, Beijing, Tokyo which are on continents that I have never installed any add on scenery or landclass. I tried with full fuel and load and emptied all the weights including the pilot and reduced fuel to 10% in all tanks.
The main gear still starts to bounce and it never dampens out. If this were my old Chevy SS I would be putting in new shock absorbers.
I can get airborne if I accelerate very gradually and start with the plane on the runway. It still bounces badly but dampens out as the speed gets up to 75 knots or so. Any attempt at taxiing or using the brakes causes the bounce to get out of control.
I noticed when I got airborne the gear won't retract. Was this damaged by the bounce or another problem?
I should mention that this is on a Vista machine. Is that an issue? Should I have mentioned that sooner? I am about to go install it on my older XP machine and see if I have the same problem.

I have similar problems with the new base pack, again under Vista (64) and FSX. Version 1.0 was fine.
Sitting at the end of any runway and the aircraft is rocking very gently, backwards and forwards and side to side. It does not dampen out as I start to taxi and the probelm gets worse if I apply brakes. Also the gear does not raise.
I deleted version 1.0 and pasted the new version into the airplanes folder as before.
Unlike Bronicadave however, the aircraft does not crash.
In the meantime I have reverted to the original version and installed the new repaints.
A great product by the way. Well done.

Same thing on the older slower XP machine, although it may be a little less pronounced. I didn't go through all the combinations on clean install and various loading, only enough to confirm I have the problem in XP as well.

Sorry everyone - I have exactly the same excessive bouncing on Vista 32 machine. Excessive strut extensions progressively increasing until crash. There is also a lateral roll bounce when turning (slowly) on ground.

Please be aware that the BAe's available from this site is PURELY for FS2004, we can and will not try to support it under FSX. For the FSX-version when available, please visit our partner site: ARNZ_X

Hi Dan - I'm using FS9, and I've just noticed the landing gear on my 146 will not retract either as in comment above. Apart from the issues I have above, I can see it's a beautiful piece of work, thanks to all involved.

Rgr that ggi, just wanted everyone to speak the same language...
I'm sure some of the BAe guy's will be able to help you out. In the mean time, please be sure that you have actually overwritten the older versions of all the cfg-files (aircraft.cfg, panel.cfg etc. etc, and you are using the newest basepacks accordingly).

Same problem here. I noticed it tonight when I downloaded the new files. In FS9 I loaded the default Cessna 182, moved from Meigs to RWY 35 KFAR. Loaded the BAe and everything seemed to be normal. Got the cockpit all set up, etc...went into the FS9 fuel menu and adusted the fuel load so that there were 659 gals in each of the three tanks. When I returned to the BAe, the plane was rocking from back to front on it's gear. I applied throttle for takeoff, but the oscillations became worse until the plane finally crashed.
I used the brand-spanking new files in the core package. No remnants from my previous install.
Sure hope we can get this figured out.

Had some soccer games to attend to yesterday. I'm trying to understand what is going on here especially since I can't seem to reproduce it. We're working on it. Mike
