Instead of creating the FSConv (sp?) folder, then installing the panel, then trying to remember the alias, why not just create a folder in the aircaft's folder. Name it panel. ?, like you would the model or texture folder. Then when you edit your aircraft.cfg file, all you have to put in the "panel=" part is what you put after the "dot" on the "panel" folder. For example: I have the 707-320C, I downloaded the 707-320C "1970" panel. I created a folder called "panel.1970" in the 707-320's folder, opened up the "aircraft.cfg" file and edited it to read "panel=1970". Much simpler IMO, and less to remember, and you can do this for each panel you use with the same aircraft. You can do the same thing with the sound folder, in case you have different engine sounds for the same aircraft your dealing with.

hmm.. yes but if you want several different aircraft using the same panel and/or sound this isn't a good idea, as you will have plenty of redundant data. With the panels and/or sounds in a separate folder, you can alias as many aircraft you want without having to duplicate the files each time.
And when updates arrive.....
It's much easier to have one version of the files instead of many.
Another thing is that an aircraft has one panel and one sound.
But another aircraft may have the same panel and a different sound etc. etc.
all in all, it is generally NOT a good idea to have panels/sound that could be used for several aircraft in the same folder as the aircraft.
