Thanks for managing that for us Dan !
Now for a few explanatory notes regarding some of the items featured within latest website update ....
1. All the new files listed above are ....
"NEW FILES".2. All upgraded files are ....
"UPGRADED OR REPLACEMENT FILES".3. The new
B707 PANEL CORE FILES/GAUGES package features a number of further improvements/refinements over the last gauges set and which is intended to benefit both FS9 & FSX users .... thanks to George CARTY !
We recommend folk replace their last version B707 gauges with these new files.
PLEASE NOTE .... there have been no further changes to any of the downloadable B707/720/C135 TYPE panels. You only need to replace your 3 original Boeing panel gauges as well as the panel WAV sounds with these latest versions.
Our standard advice when changing gauges still applies as follows ....
If using FSUIPC (even in unlicenced form) we recommend you uninstall/reinstall this module. Select at least
"MINIMUM WEATHER DEFAULTS" when reinstalling. Remember also to shutdown/restart FS between uinstalling/reinstalling this module. This action is intended only to ensure FSUIPC recognizes the latest gauge dates .... sometimes computers will do strange things !
PLEASE NOTE: FSUIPC is a free download. It is not actually imperative for the smooth running of any of our panels, but, it is an essential addition to your FS Modules folder in order for the weather radar units in our Boeing, Convair, and Doulas panels to function. Full FSUIPC registration is not required in order to achieve this functionality.
PLEASE NOTE ALSO .... only FSUIPC version "V3.50" or later should be used. This module also enables the editing of many other not normally accessible FS parameters, but, only for users of fully licenced FSUIPC versionsThe latest FSUIPC version is available from ....
www.schiratti.com/dowson.htmlAlternatively search AVSIM.COM, or FLIGHTSIM.COM FS libraries as follows .....
"Pete Dowson"4. New AIrcraft Base Packs have been uploaded for the followiing aircraft ....
CV880-22
CV880-22M
CV990 (early)
CV990-AThese feature revised FDE .... station load adjustments, and minor modifications to engine spooling times. Just a technical/historical note here .... the GE engines which powered CV880 & Cv990 aircraft featured "variable stators" which enabled rapid power adjustments .... meaning these engines were capable of faster spooling times than P&W and RR powerplants .... thanks again to Geoge CARTY's efforts we've tried to impliment this fidelity into our simulation of these aircraft !
5. Thanks to Dee WALDRON ... we are pleased to offer a brand new CV880-22 AIRLIFTER model with a fully functional forward fuselage maindeck cargo door and a belly full of virtual freight. Use the following keyboard commands to open/close this freight door ....
SHIFT .... E .... 2This new model is supported with its own Aircraft Base Pack/FDE and is located in a new
"CONVAIR 880-22F" section on our downloads page. It is supported by 2 new textures for rare INAIR PANAMA, and SERCA COSTA RICA freighters, along with an updated texture for our previously released rare PROFIT EXPRESS version .... 3 CV880-22F AIRLIFTER textures in total for this new aircraft model.
A CV880-22M AIRLIFTER model will be added to our virtual CV880 flightline at a later date.
I believe this should keep everyone out of mischief between now and next months website update !
Have fun folks !
