Funny you mention the BOAC Junior Jet Club. From 1973 I was a member of the AIR NEW ZEALAND JUNIOR JET CLUB. I managed to fly on our DC8's 3 times .... ZK-NZA aboard which I had the worst/roughest ride I've ever in my life experienced across the Pacific on May 10th 1975 .... I'll never forget that .... it got as rough as guts, and then later aboard ZK-NZC (twice) during the 1970's .... both of which are represented here within the HJG DC8-50 inventory but in earlier AIR NEW ZEALAND liveries than when I flew aboard them. I also managed to fly on HAWAIAN AIRLINES single DC8-63 N4934Z .... on which flight I spent most of my time in the jumpseat (a very rare privillege on an American aircraft). I was to have flown on a HAWAIIAN DC8-62 for the return legue of that same trip .... but .... that aircraft was substituted at the last minute for an L1011 (N763BE). I kept/maintained my log book with details relating to every-single international flight I ever did. By the late 1990's I ended up starting to have to record flight details between the lines of other entries on the same pages. I valued that log book .... for sentimental reasons .... but .... sadly it was lost during 1999 as the result of a break-in and robbery at work. No log book now .... just many .... Many .... MANY GREAT MEMORIES ! Mark C BOG/CO
