I have a reputation of making life harder and this once again was proved by adding to the household.... We have 3 dogs a cross German Shepherd who is 13 and getting very old and less active nowadays, she is the leader of the pack as the other two are a 9 year old Border Terrier and an 8 year old Airdale who to be honest are not the best of friends but live happily in the pack, the older dog is the boss and when she barks the two others run. So we decided to get a new b1tch who we hope will take on the mother role as she gets older, this has been fun, fraught, tiring and not without moments of panic! The old dog has little time for the pup which I expected, the Airdale whom was keen at first has now decided he needs to show her who is boss and this has led to a couple of "snappy" moments, the border well he just lets life glide by and as long as he has his food he is generally happy. So teaching the pup her place is tough and has its fur flying moments, but we will get there just means less time for PC Oh and the new dog?? well its a white long haired German Shepherd, she is 10 weeks old and already 10 kilos in weight her mom and dad were very large and looked more like Polar Bears than dogs.. I have tried to explain this to the airdale that pretty soon this pup will be twice his size so he had better be nice to her now ;D

Wow! She's a beauty! We have a long haired German Shepherd ourselves (5 years now) at approx. 50 kg's The kindest temper in the world! He is the Big Brother for all our cats and rabbits. A very good watch dog too! Unfortunately he's got hip dysplasia cat. E but up until now we have kept it down with the right nutrition and medication, unfortunately we won't be having him as long as normal ... but he has a very mild and good temper that's for sure.... Congratulations with her, she really looks good, and do I sense an alert glimpse in her eyes? She sure looks very intelligent. Very nice pictures! Btw. funny thing with the Shepherds, they seem to have their paws and ears at the final size right from the start ;D

Hi Dan the old dog is a cross German and is very intelligent and also gentle but a fearless guard, that why we decided on a full German Shepherd, the old girl is 13 and now has problems with her hips etc and is on constant medication but is not as mobile as she was, but I guess that is a great age for her type and its only the last three years she has started to slow down with her legs/hips. Its afternoon and the pup is awake and causing hassles for the other dogs.. It is easy to forget pupy hood, but it all comes flooding back
