I agree in principle .... BUT .... we'd need the short tail model version first and foremost before anything like this can be seriously considered.
Leave it up to Gary .... for when and "IF" he want to do it.

Would be great to see it refuel a B-52 from the 1950s period online.

I know .... the short tailfin is the "GIVE AWAY" detail there. Early KC135-A's, like early B707's (-120, -220, & -138 .... and just a very few early production -320's & -420 only .... as well as pre delivery B720-020's) all featured short tailfins until modified from 1960. Off ya go then aulde son .... and thank you for volunteering too ;D Go and set it all up as an online flying session .... and we all look forward to your showing us the pictures later "SERIOUSLY" .... if you or anyone wants to try this .... By far the best B52's available for FS are those superb packages produced by Yaetsu YOSHIMITSU & Hiroake KUBOTA (all versions) .... and the best panel available for these is still the one by Ken MITCHELL. You should be able to search for and find all of these on either FLIGHTSIM.COM or AVSIM .... or both ! And you get also get good B52 soundpacks (both turbojet, and fanjet cersions) made by Benoit PLAMOMDON & myself .... from the "SOUNDS" page at CLASSIC BRITISH FILES website .... www.classicbritishfiles.com/ Mark C AKL/NZ

Seriously, if given the time, I'd like trying out. Do the early 707s and 720s here have short tailfins?

All the early production versions most certainly did .... until 1960 !
By far the majority of these early aircraft were later modified .... and all production versions from early 1960 then built with what became the standard tall tail.
For further information .... kindly refer to my 2 B707 history articles posted on our AIRCRAFT HISTORIES forum page .... you can read all about the development of these aircraft there !

In the meantime here's a selection of images showing Gary's beautiful HJG B707/720 models with their earliest short tail configuration. These are all historically correct ..... B707-120B707-138B707-220B707-320B707-420B720-020We actually have something in the region of 30 (plus) individual B707/720 models here .... each of different fuselage, tail, wing, and pylon/engine configurations. And we have an equal number of different C135 TYPE 3D models here too. You won't find anywhere else within FS a more thorough/complete B707/720/C!35 inventory than what we currently offer "HERE" .... all tanks to the knowledge and skill of our BOEING PROJECTS MANAGER .... Ok perhaps Gary should read this thread and work on an KC-135A. Better if it's the same plane as the one in the picture.

Firstly .... Gary already has made KC135-A for us (see "KC135" downloads page) .... albeit in the following modified/later tall tail form .... KC135-ASecondly .... I understand and appreciate your enthusiasm "COMMANDER31" .... but .... Gary should also be allowed to work at his own pace .... when and "IF" he wants to .... whilst also remaining free to make his own choices along the way. That's the only way we work here !
