First off, I'm running SP2. I downloaded both of the Led Zeppelin 720s and installed them. I have noticed that the engines don't show textures. I went through, and sure enough they are in the texture folder. I did find inbd_pylons and outbd_pylons missing when I compared it to the Elton John 720. The engines worked fine on it, so I copied them over. They both use model 08, so it should fix the problem. There was no joy in Mudville today. I went through and converted the textures to DXT3 and that didn't help either. I made sure that I'm using the current model and current textures. BTW- Both Zeppelin airplanes have the same problem. Odd. Any ideas?

STRANGE .... Those "LED ZEPPELIN" textures have been available here for quite a while now, but, this's the very first time anyone has ever reported a problem with them. And you're using these and experiencing this with FSX only .... are you ? This .... of course .... is what you should be seeing .... I wondering if this could be just an FSX specific texture display issue A similar FSX texture display issue with the RAF E3D's was recently reported (see further down this page) .... but .... that particular issue affected the entire aircraft and not just the engines only. Sorry I don't have an answer for this Either Dan or Tony might have some suggestions later though Mark C AKL/NZ

It didn't do it before SP2. I wonder if it has something to do with the way the textures are compiled. Maybe they're not all in the same format? The Elton John airplane works fine. It uses the same model. Could it have something to do with the format they were put on the model when it was built?

It's because of or the lack of Alpha channel ... don't which really. Tony and I will be investigating it further....

Same problem here. FSX SP1, Win XP SP2. I had run in to a problem like this once before with a CLS repaint where engines wouldnt show. I had to add a texture.cfg to the texture dir for them to fall back to the default CLS texture directory , but thats not the case here because there is no default to fallback to.
***EDIT*** OK I noticed I was using the late model with the B720B air file instead of the proper B720 air file. All good now.

Folks .... it is "ESSENTIAL" to use the right textures with each Aircraft Base Pack model/s.
Our aircraft textures are generally compiled into seperate sections representing each aircraft sub type.
Aircraft Base Packs are normally the very first file represented within each aircraft sub type section.
"ALWAYS" apply the correct textures to the correct Aircraft Base Pack .... and "NEVER" try to apply all textures to just 1 Aircraft Base Pack.
Failure to do this (by accident or intention) "WILL" often result in aircraft textures, or, parts of aircraft textures that simply will not display.
Most of our models are mapped differently .... requiring texture BMP files that are appropriately mapped to them .... therefore requiring the right textures being used with the right Aircraft Base Pack models.
