YES .... this's "ESSENTIAL READING" for anyone who's new to the HJG/CARTY Boeing panels. The procedures outlined in this tutorial apply to both FS versions and all our B707/720/C135 type aircraft which use these panels. Please refer to my "ENGINE STARTUP" tutorial per the link provided above by my colleague Dan .... or .... simply view my "B707 PANELS INSTALLATION & HANDLING NOTES" thread which appears on the ABOUT HJG AIRCRAFT forum page. There's a lot of other essential information there regarding different aspects of our B707/720 panels and flying these aircraft which is intended to assist the end user. In the meantime when starting the engines you must ensure each of the following basic steps have first been followed .... - Ensure that aircrafts brakes are "ON"
- Go to the F/E panel
- Set the "EXTERNAL POWER" switch to "ON"
- Set the "ESSENTIAL POWER" switch to "EXT"
- Ensure the "BATTERY" switch is set to "ON"Failure to follow these basic procedures will result in a GPU that simply won't co-operate .... and engines that can't be started. Follow precisely all those procedures outlined in my tutorial and you won't/shouldn't go wrong. Mucha suerte ! Mark C AKL/NZ & BOG/CO
