Hi all,
While still flying FS9 I do like to share my own list of payware. Despite those titles like Ultimate Terrain and FSGenesis (I do have an all time membership) enhancing the look and feel, I'm using Radar Contact (not too often, I'm afraid but I like it) and a whole bunch of aircraft. Essentials for me are FSNav (even if the business has seized) and - not to forget Peter Dowson's FSUIPC.
The aircraft - jets first:
Starting with PMDG's 737- New Generation and their super PMDG B747-400, my only other (payware) jet in use is EagleSoft's Citation X. The model and the flight dynamics are excellent but the FMS unfortunatly is just only a bit more than fake. Meanwhile I added Ernie Alstom's ISG1 gauges (the SMITHS FMS and some others) and now the usability and fun is much higher for me.
Now the props:
At first place I would recommend the outstanding ATR72-500 of Flight 1. Having some STOL abilities it brings you safely even to a lot of places off the big airports. If your desire is VSTOL and high performance the same time, you need to have the Flight 1 Pilatus PC12 . A simple to fly aircraft that can manage to access shortest places in midst the woods.
One of the best is the excellent Aeroworx Super King Air B200. You will find some RL pilots posting in their forum but unfortunately it seems that they seized their business. However, they have been taken over by Flight 1 and hopefully they will continue working there.
One of the best add-ons in my opinion is a set of gauges that ISG1 (Ernie Alstom, the developer of FSBuild has on the market. Even if I think that the graphics could be a bit better the functionality is overcompensating such a lack. However, this is only recommended if you like fiddling around with gauges and flight deck designs etc. If you are not used to it you may need to have to learn something before enjoying it.
Regards,
Axel
