I might get flamed for this, but oh well, you'll get over it, sooo, for one of your updates here at HJG why not someone release a way to install HJG aircraft & panels easily ?, either by standard zip or .exe method, no more editing files and answering questions about installations.

Kindly don't take my following remarks the wrong way .... but .... Given the effort we all put in toward maintaining this website/service I'm buggered if we're going to start changing things now .... especially when the instructions provided with our products are quite simple and easy to follow .... so long as people "READ" and follow them. 90% of of the relatively few reported problems are the result of people "NOT" following our recommended procedures. Our past 3 years of service to the community have demonstrated (to us at least) that these instructions are "PERFECTLY ADEQUATE". They do mirror standard FS conventions. All we assume is that end users do have "some" knowledge of both basic FS structure and computing skills. Answering questions (providing a "SERVICE") is one of the foundations upon which the new HJG has been developed. "IF" we're not prepared to put in the effort .... to continue doing that (often assisted by loyal community members too) then we might as well just "SHUT SHOP" and go on permanant vacation. For this reason .... a degree of decent SERVICE/SUPPORT/BACK-UP" is an important/integral part of everything else we try to offer here .... I feel ! NO CHANGES WILL BE MADE !!!! And "NO" .... you're not being flamed either ! ;D Mark C AKL/NZ & BOG/CO

I did consider a self installer a whiole ago, but with all the add on textures that pop up every now and then it would be a massive task, Mark's right the instructions and if your stuck, help on this forum is more than enough

As the saying goes, "if it ain't broke, don't fix" - I personally don't like installers for FS addons. But although it can be tedious to install liveries with the current method, it is a proven and easy method, and very importantly, it's done in a consistent fashion. Only really the "noobs" will est, have the odd problem here and there. LOL
All the best,
Philip.

I never use installers as intended. I 'setup' to a 'storage' file and go from there. HJG's system, while perhaps a tad more involved than many others, is the ONLY way to go. It's really very easy to install the base pack to an open folder of your choice (I use BOB 3) then add the other components such as paints, sound, panels. Once the aircraft is 'put together', simply install in FS9.
