What panel are you using for the DC-9? Did not see one in the download section.
Thanks, Joe Esposito

I have actually commented within my recently posted website update explanation notes (see the "NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS" forum page) that we don't .... as yet .... have any DC9 panels to offer, but, that we are currently working on a solution .... tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=news&action=display&thread=2795In the meantime At the moment .... I tend to recommend the DC9 panel by Stellan HILMERBY .... it is, in my own humble oppinion, the best currently available, but, be warned .... it is also a "VERY COMPLEX" panel too. There are other temporary options though, and which are more simplistic, and maybe located by searching the FLIGHTSIM.COM, or, SIMVIATION:COM FS libraries. FYI .... George CARTY, and myself, have recently obtained authorization to host Stellan HILMERBY's DC9 panel here at HJG .... as well as to modify it for the DC9 aircraft variations we plan on representing here in the future. .... and which we are currently doing. We do therefore "hope" (subject to the success of the modifications being incorporated) to be able to release our own revised "versions" (plural) of Stellan HILMERBY's DC9 panel much later on .... and which will/should be fully FS9 and FSX compatible .... unlike the current version. No release dates yet .... not even a guestimate .... so please .... don't even think about asking !!!! Until then my friend .... it's default MSFS B737-400 panels for everyone ! Mark C BOG/CO

I doubt I'll be able to do an FSX-compatible version of the DC-9 panel, as I have unfortunately been unable to acquire the source code for the panel's main GAU file.
This GAU file was not written by Stellan Hilmerby (who isn't knowledgeable in C), but by Geir Olson, which Stellan himself has not been in touch with for at least five years. I tried Geir's e-mail address (which Stellan provided), but got no reply.
What I do expect to be able to do is to make a complete set of DC-9 panels for FS2004, including appropriately-calibrated engine gauges. I may (no promises though) also be able to add a working windscreen wiper like on the 727 panels.

Have been using the panels by Stellan HILMERBY with the JCA DC-9s for quite a while. I have not been very successful in getting them set correctly (though still usable). Am looking forward to using the models here with the Hilmerby panel properly set up...that will be great!

Is anyone using the Stellan HILMERBY panel in FSX? It was uploaded to Flightsim in 04. Thx Earl

I very much doubt it .... considering the current version (updates) is compatible with FS2004 (albeit with some minor issues) .... meaning it's definitely not FSX compatible !

No complex FS2004 panel predating FSX will be FSX-compatible, as the workings of FSX relating to engine starting were changed from those of earlier FS versions...

One's got to remember that panel .... and its gauge set too .... whilst having been discussed here any number of times recently, isn't set up to run smoothly with our version DC9 FDE, so, one's therefore got to expect snags and other possible incompatibilities in it's current state.
Also .... the last .... or current status/version .... of the HILMERBY panel will likely have little resemblance (functiionality-wise) to whatever may be forthcomming from us later on and once George has completed his "magic".
This project is still quite a while away yet though .... so .... it's still far too early .... impossible really .... to speak about it in more definitive terminolgy than my "vague" comments so far.

You can use the currently available HILMERBY DC9 panel.
There's no problem asssociated with being able to do that !
It will still display, and work, with our aircraft models and current FDE version .... but .... not entirely without some minor issues .... which is what I was really hinting at above.
Having now been authorized by Stellan HILMERBY, what we're trying to do now is resolve these issues .... and improve things further too, but, the fruits of our efforts won't be available for a while yet.

I have tryed this panel and have still not been able to start engines...... >.< I must be missing something.... if you do use this panel please have a good checklist.... ~cry~ If you've not already found it, here are a few things to verify when trying to start the engines: Make sure the bleed air to the air conditioning is off. You need at least 30 PSI showing in the pressure gauge by the engine start switches. Make sure the pneumatic transfer valves (they're the levers on either side of the rudder trim knob on the pedestal) are both open. Their default position when loading the panel is off. Click them so they're both up (on). If these two checks are followed, the engines should start up a treat. When I used the auto-installer that Stellan packaged everything in, the documents ended up in a separate folder - on my pc it's in the aircraft folder and called SAS_DC9 Documents. There's a pretty detailed checklist in that folder that should help with any troubleshooting. Hope this helps, Chris

Until suitable replacement Diesel 9 panel finished I coninue to use the panel by Chris Jeane. It's only downside is the guages are really small. It's avail on Avsim and Flightsim. Tried to install the Stellen DC-9 panel but the file containing guages does not work with the actual panel. Not sure if it's stuck with FS 2002 compatibility? I ensured to update the FS9 CFG but no luck.

Myself & Mike MONCE have been putting, what will eventually become HJG's new DC9 panel, through their paces these past few weeks .... as we, with George CARTY's help, slowly iron out the kinks ! Once again .... a little regarding this developing project may be read "HERE" .... tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=previews&action=display&thread=2873Quite a bit of work still to be done to these panels, so, it's still not yet possible/practical for us to indicate a release date at the moment.
