Hi, great planes you guys make. i have an annoying tiny issue with the wing flood lights in FSX with the DC-8-63F, the three other lights works great, but not the lights on the middel of each wing? I just see two dots pointing down on the ground under each wing Regards Skywalker

What you're seeing may just be an FSX issue .... I can't say with certainty and need my colleague Dan's opinion on this. I the meantime .... folk did comment as follows recently regarding a DC8 wing lighting issue which I think may be the same one you're referring too .... The above quotes were the essential comments regarding this subject, but, you can read more regarding this on Pages 1 & 2 of the following forum thread .... tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=chat&action=display&thread=2733I hope this may help ! Ahh, the tailhook command did the trick, but how can i assign that command to the button on the panel, now i have to use the default command on keyboard to do this, it would be nice if it wan assign to the panel button?

I'm buggered if I know .... to be perfectly honest ! ;D But .... I'm interested myself too .... if one of our team have an oppinion to share regarding this It may not be possible to assign another switch to the panel .... for this function and beyond what's already there .... and without necessitating a major CFG rewrite somewhere. Again .... I'm buggered if I know for sure though ! ;D Mark C AKL/NZ

I thought there were switches on the overhead panel (assuming you're using one of the HJG DC-8 panels) that operated the retractable landing lights out on the wings. I have not looked at it in quite a long time, but in my foggy memory... ;D Dee

I'm in the same boat too Dee .... ;D Other projects .... you know ! .... ;D Those lighting switches on the lower part of the DC8 Overhead panels do control various quantities of ground illumination .... in the form of landing and taxiing lights, as I recall, but, I don't actually recall them making those retractable wing lights work. They may do after that recommended CFG edit, but, I just don't know for sure ! And whether or not that particular aniimation works in FSX is an entirely different issue again ! Mark C AKL/NZ
