Hello all I just installed the DC 8 33 TAI 1960 registered F - BIUY. For historical reasons, I would like to change the last letter of her registration number into Z instead of Y, to become F- BIUZ. Could you let me have the modified files to be changed in the texture folder? This would be for virtual flying exhibition in the French Aircraft Museum in Le Bourget near Paris (France) where I live. Briefly, this aircraft is there for show since 2001, with an unusual texture as attached. She flew F - BIUZ with TAI 1961-63, then UTA 63-73, then French Air Force F - ZARC (military test flight center) for transformation into electronics control flying aircraft (SARIGUE equivalent to AWACS) 1973-76 , then F - RAFE for military survey and transportation (French Air Force 1) 1976-2001, (with CFM engines, and others to become DC - 8 - 53 in 1980).

Bonjour "INUOVO" ! Bit of an unusual request this one We/HJG don't undertake requests for personal use .... other than what is hosted on this website for the general enjoyment of everybody. Our 2 current TAI DC8-33 related textures (that's TAI definitive livery, and TAI/AIR MADAGASCAR .... were both done for us by my good friend Gilles MERCIER. I'd really prefer that this request to sent to Gilles .... for his consideration, and, "IF" he's willing, then you may be lucky !Just a technical/historical nore here .... "IF" this aircraft was upgraded to a DC8-53 (as a number of -33's indeed were) the it would have been powered by P&W JT3D series fanjet engines .... not the CFM 56 series turbofans. So far as I'm aware, no DC8-50's were ever upgraded to CFM powerplants. Only DC8-61, 62, and 63 aircraft were re-engined with CFM 56 turbofans. Mark C AKL/NZ
