Looking for a possible texture of a WC-135B/C, circa 1977. These aircraft flew radiation flights near the USSR, flying out of Yokota or Kadena. We could always tell when one returned "hot", as all the radios on the flightline went to heavy static as it taxied past. I was assigned to the 610 Mass at Yokota from 1976 to 1978. Pic: www.globalsecurity.org/intell/systems/images/wc-135b.jpgMany thanks. Larry

Funny you should mention that, as I had been thinking about making a request for that type myself. I spotted this WC-135C, 62-3528 coming in to Yokota in January. The quality of that pic isn't so great as it's taken quite far away, from our balcony. And while we are talking about repaint requests... a Kadena based E-3C would be nice, too. I have some close-up photos from Yokota Open House day if someone would like to give it a try. -Esa

Very Nice! I'd download that scheme in a heartbeat. Hope it can happen.

Wasn't there a WC-135 back in the day that was actually used for weather recon? Hurricanes and such. I don't recall it being for penetration like the WC-130s.

Nothing at all wrong with any of those images Esa ! I wish I had a balcony .... like that ! It woul;d save me some travelling time, and expence, going to and from the airport all the time .... in respect of my own aviation photography ! With regard to these recent requests .... The best I can say is .... we'll see what happens later. These subject have essentially just got to appeal to any one of our painters .... in order to become a reality here. Asuming we've currently got 3D models of these aircraft with all the right humps, bumps, and other projections, then some "WC" designated aircraft might be appropriate .... because I don't think we've got any of those roosters here at the moment Obviously my technical knowledge of the military aircraft is much less than that covering civil B707/720 TYPE aircraft ! THe B/C had onlty the "air reader" on the right (starboard) side, as it's only "hump and bumps". Personally I can overlook it as it is for AI traffic for the most part.
