Has anyone figured out what keyboard command works in FSX to extend/retract the MPRS drouges on the KC-135R..or is this a non-option for FSX users? Thanks in advance for your reply.

Perhaps I am doing something wrong. I've been able to follow all of the guides so far without incident to install, but I've not been successful in being able to get these drogues to extend. I've tried to assign a key combination to the concorde nose up/down command, but it doesn't seem to work. Is there a particular configuration the airplane needs to be in? or should it just work even if you are just sitting parked on the ramp with systems up and running? I'm running FSX/accel. I'm guessing there is probably some small little detail that has escaped me! Everything else works as advertised, so I'm a bit puzzled. Also, I realize that you are not magicians, and that every system is different, but just in case I've made a simple error! Thanks for the wonderful planes!!!

Mark and Dan, Thanks for the tip, which seems to work fine in FS9, but unfortunately doe not work in FSX. Just like newbiefalcon, I've assigned keys to the Concorde nose & visor extend/retract command (also tried Concorde nose/visor increase angle/decrease angle commands) but the drouge will not extend/retract. I'm using FSX Deluxe on Windows Vista. I don't have a Concorde or any other FSX aircraft that uses the Concorde commands to test in order to validate if they work or not...maybe someone could confirm this for me. Is it possible the FSX version uses a diferent key command for this function? I would truely appreciate a definitive answer from the designer if possible. Best Regards, Andy

I've asked this question on many forums with no answer in sight. At this point, my guess is that it cannot be done in FSX. I've tried every variation of key combos and the various concorde animation options. I think the simple reason is that it just doesn't work in FSX...unless someone can definitively so otherwise? Too bad too, this is the best kc135 model avail IMO for fsx at this point.

I'm very familiar with our B707's/B720's and their panels .... BUT .... are much less so in respect oof our C135's .... and even less so in respect of FSX matters.
HOWEVER .... I've always been under the impression that despite these models being built for FS2004 .... their respective animatiions also work in FSX too .... in fact I'm pretty sure they do .... which suggests not only keyboard commands (within FS OPTIONS etc) need being assigned, but possibly also, some degree of CFG editing too.
So long as one uses their C135 models with the correct base packs/FDE .... then no additional CFG editing should be necessary .... and everything should then work fine on the basis of just keyboard commands/assignmnts.
SORRY I can't provide more definitive information to help resolve this for you, but, I simply don't know for certain.

That's not a problem, I've said it before, these are the best kc135 models avail, in my opinion, and I'm sure someone will eventually come out of the woodwork with a work around...just a matter of time!

I'm working on it, and if it is not possible then I will at least be able to tell you why...

Nope not yet, I'm awaiting the source code, but it is correct that the animation is coupled to the Concorde Nose Visor extract/Extend (in FS9) .. but it is also sure that this doesn't work in FSX ... I now only have to find out why, and if it could be changed ...

Dan,
Thanks much for running this question to ground. Although disappointing, It's good to know it doesn't work in FSX. Keeping my fingers crossed that you are able to find a fix in the source code. Good luck and thanks for keeping us informed.
Best regards, Andy
