Hello All.. I thought I'd got the hang of doing downloads from this brilliant site. So much so that I'd stopped looking for divine intervention when I'd gone through the process and a happily something appeared in FSX that worked. Your AC are brilliant and I enjoy 'flying' them greatly. However...I've hit a snag, and I'm probably doing something really wrong here. ???Here's the problem: I've got the 707-320C SAA in place and all works well, even extra textures. Thought it was time to have a Passenger AC. Did the DL for the 707-320v7 Base pack, texture..all ok. Then went to install the panels. Followed as I had done before..fsconv..and suddenly I had three Cfg. files in there (2 panel cfg. if I recall). I checked Aerofotos 'what panel/which plane' section and all matched up i.e. correct panels. Can anyone help please. I did 'wing it ' a bit and removed a 'panel cfg' All seemed well 'til I tried different views and then a real mess..Hope this is clear Thanks ZA

First of all I need to know which repaint you are trying to install, and then perhaps the name of the 3 cfg files you have and where they are located, it would also help if you told me which "version" you are installing after, there are 3 different approaches, so you see some more details are needed to guide you in the right direction :-)

Hi Dan... Thanks for your response. Since I last contacted you, I revisited (late last night) the issue and removed all and started again. This time no problems. So I suspect that I was doing something wrong. Sorry if I was time wasting. I guess the background query is..If I go to the FSCONV folder and add a panel, similar to one that may be in there, do I delete the older ones? S'ppose FSCONV does as its name suggests, converts, however I was thinking that it could maybe 'muddle' things if they're similar (sorry if that sounds naive) Thankjs ZA For the record,.. The AC was 707-320 V 7.0 B. Pack and the Texture was SAA 1960 ZC -CKC. The Panel was the Core for that model and the Panel was the one suggested by Aerofoto. Again, thanks for your time

Good you're sorted. You do not need to add a similar panel, if you already have one, unless you are updating it to a newer version. To different aircraft can easily use the same panel files, no need for a double installation.
The FSCONV folder is just like any other folder on your system, no magic involved in that. As a matter of fact I don't use it myself.
The reason in was invented I guess was to have a common folder to which you could make referrals within the cfg-files .... so you needn't have to install the same panel again and again, but just refer to it from the cfg-files ... but it could have any other name, so the name itself doesn't have any meaning applicationwise.
I hope this is understandable?

Hi Dan.... Thanks for the explanation. V. helpful. Glad there's no mystery to it all. I enjoy the challenge of flying your AC even more now it's getting easier for me to download them.
