Hello,
I really like the aircraft of HJG. I fly the Cv990, the DC-8 and the 707. All of them fly great but I noticed something: With the Convair and Douglas I get in KSFO with no Ai-traffic 40 FPS, with the Boeing only 20. Is this normal?
Can you help me to improve them? I canĀ“t understand that because the panel is nearly the same.
Greetings Christopher

I suspect some specific features of the 707/720 panel set make it slower: - The comprehensive night lighting system (which means most gauge bitmaps are duplicated or triplicated)
- The fuel system simulation
- The INS system (not the 1959 panel)
Don't really know for certain though... George

If I may cherp- in here ;D
I've never experienced and FPS issues with any of our panels .... and I'm not aware of anyone else (that I can immediate recall) having reported a simlar panel/FPS problem.
I do however recall 1 person (about 2 years go) reporting a FPS issue with "a B707". In this case .... when the guy downloaded the file he, for whatever reason of corruption, ended up with something much larger than he should ever have had. Upon his dumping what he then had .... and then redownloading and installing everything once again .... this seemed to cure his problem.
I'm not suggesting your issue is the same/related .... BUT .... you may want to try doing this too.
Again .... there are no common FPS issues with any of our panels/aircraft (or any of our other files .... excluding the BAe 146 panel which does take a wee while to load on some systems) that I am aware of.
Check also that you've installed your B707 panel inside the FSFSCONV folder of FS2004 (rather than directly inside your B707 aircraft base pack folder) .... precisely as recommended per the installation instructions.
Finally .... FPS issues can also be related to the densities at which all of the various FS settings/options are set.
There could be any number of other contributing factors too !
Around 30+ FPS is more than sufficient for the human eye to see fluid/smooth movement.

I had a weaker CPU before this one, and I could fly the DC8's, but not the 707's. With this CPU I have no problem with any a/c, including complex payware. I believe that the 707 is a more complex program. lr.
