How do you activate the thrust reversers in the 6R? I've looked through all the documentation, but didn't find anything.
When I use F2 with the throttles in idle, then advance the power, the airplane accelerates instead of slowing.
Thanks for your help.

Given the other modification you admit to making .... have you possibly "BUMPED" anything else that might implicate reverdse thrust ?
I test flew the 6R for quite a while prior to it being released here at HJG .... and .... "NEVER/NUNCA DE VECES" .... encountered such a problem.
As per my CARAVELLE PANEL INSTALLATION & HANDLING NOTES .... the procedure is as follows ....
There's certainly no problem with the performance of the CARAVELLE 6R's reverse thrust that I can replicate .... or have previously been informed regarding either.

Additionally, make sure you're doing the procedure right. Once the throttles are in idle, one presses and holds the F2 key for a few seconds to activate and hold reverse thrust, not press it once and advance your throttles again via the thrust lever. When you are ready to cancel reverse thrust, you can press the F1 key or advance your throttles slightly.

Chris's got a point there .... and one not actually mentioned in my CARAVELLE notes .... When applying reverse thrust .... the F2 keyboard command should be held down .... until reverse is properly engaged .... then "let go". Another thing too .... "IF" using the AEROMUSICA/HJG supplied soundpacks. The reverse thrust WAV featured within these soundpacks (those equipped with it) is timed to be of sufficient length to last duration of desceleration (with reverse "pulled on") .... from a sensible landing speed down to 80 KTS .... before filtering out automatically. When the reverse thrust audio filters out 5 seconds are available during which to select F1, to cancel reverse, before it starts "looping" a 2nd time. This is true not only of the reverse thrust in the AEROMUSICA CARAVELLE 6R soundpack .... BUT .... applies to all AEROMUSICA B707/720/C135, B727, CV880, CV990, DC8, and DC9 soundpacks available here at HJG. It's standard reverse thrust feature of ours ! Mark C AKL/NZ

Chris,
Your reminder about holding F2 down was the key. The reversers work fine. Thank you.
