Not interested in entering 15 or 20 waypoints manually? Neither was Julian Avisenis. Neither am I ;D So we have this gizmo, auto or manual waypoint entry, At flightsim.com, www.flightsim.com/file.php?cm=SEARCH1&fsec=0&fname=INS_GAUGE.ZIPFS2004 Inertial Navigation System ins_gauge.zip FS2004 Inertial Navigation System. Easy to use. Stores up to 99 waypoints. Waypoints are saved to a data file. Flight plans can be entered automatically. Displays position, heading, speed and times. Full instructions. By Julian Avisenis. Insert waypoints manually, or it will automatically save entire flight plan/.pln file Once you have everything set, and you have clicked 'heading' on your ap, then click 'hold' on this, it will fly your 'plan' just as GPS/NAV did. There is a 'fix' a couple of days later, if you might need it, I didn't need it. ins_gauge_fix.zip www.flightsim.com/newfiles/all/all270.htmJulian advertises that this works on any aircraft with the 'heading' mode available on the AP. As you may or may not be aware, all 'heading' modes do not work the same. This gizmo does not work well with the Caravelle panels. With this panel, Simon Topmann, HNAC, Airbus A300/310 panel series library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=59420Instead of 'heading' you must actually use the same icons as when switching to GPS/NAV mode ALSO, it works with yer heli's too ;D

Personally .... I won't be changing the INS we currently have in those panels equipped with it and short of further modifications to it This's despite the fact that our "current" panels/INS won't work with other NAV programs .... which according to communication with George CARTY within the past 48 hours .... "may" soon be about to change anyway. I also perhaps need to remind folk that what they do in regard to modifying there HJG panels is entirely up to them .... of course .... BUT .... once things are modified beyond the standard we supply here then we're suddenly less able to help/trooubleshoot .... should folk run into problems with their modifications. I realize nobody's complaining .... "YET" .... but .... I do need to remind folk regarding this .... because this has happened any number of times in the past ! MarK C AKL/NZ
