I am new to the DC-9 panel and I have everything figured out, but when I set the autopilot the auto thrust doesn't work. By this I mean I set the yellow arrow on the speedometer to 250knots, but when I turn the auto trust on by the throttles i always keeps a constant speed at 210Knots. Can someone please help me and tell me how to work the DC-9 auto-throttle?
THANKS

As covered in section 3:4.5 and Section 3:7.0 of our forum DC9 panel manual/DC9 PANEL INSTALLATION & HASNDLING NOTES, the AT system will not, and is not intended to, maintain a constant IAS/MACH during climb, cruise, and descent. The AT should only be used, if at all, during approaches to landing only .... and as direct per the following extracts from our forum manual ....
