Hello Everyone,
I've been flying and enjoying the DC-9-30, and to a lesser extent, the DC-9-50 (still enjoying as much as the 30...not as much time in the air!) for a couple of weeks. I've noticed the switches for Flood lights (engine nacelle and ground floods) switch on and off, but don't appear to work. Just wondering if this is a problem with my install, or is everyone seeing this? Not a big deal, just curious.
Thanks, Jon

I'm not entirely certain regarding this, BUT, it could be .... so far as I'm aware .... that such flood lighting (engine nacelle at least) may not be represented in our model. It must be remembered that these panels were originally designed for use with and entirely different model. In the meantime the 3 principal lighting switches, to the left of the FLOOD LIGHT switches, do result in adequate lighting effects. The FLOOD LIGHT switches themselves may be selecable/a procedure .... but .... "maybe" without any obvious external effects. Again .... I'm not entirely certain regarding your this , but, will check later .... and report further .... "if necessary". Mark C AKL/NZ

Mark,
On a closer look, I think turning on the landing lights switches, also illuminates the wing and nacelle lights.

That could be the ticket .... but .... I'll check later when I can .... and if necessary report back !
EDIT ....
Jon .... I had a look at those FLOOD LIGHTS switches .... flicking them "ON/OFF" during a dusk scenario. It seems, so far as I could quickly observe, that there's no external lighting animation associaed with these switches .... which are probably just a hangover from the original HILMERBY project. And .... "YES" .... those other 3 main lighting switches (to the left of these "FOODS") do, intentiuonally, activate both the wing tip and nose gear landing lights only .... with perfectly adequate ground lighting/illumination.

Mark,
Same here on all counts. Thanks for checking. Just flew the 30 from KSAN - KELP with a dusk landing...plenty of light.
