In reading that no repaint kit is provided for those who wish to paint any HJG aircraft for their own virtual airline, so if I wished to used the 707-320 then I would have to do a patchwork attempt with different repaints to make my own paintkit? If I am wrong I would be greatly and appreciatively surprised.

Allow me to try to help clarify things here. We/HJG .... do not make PSD files publicly available for any of the models we, ourselves, have produced .... i.e. B707/720/C135, CV880, CV990, DC8, and DC9. PSD files for most of the other aircraft we "host" .... i.e. B727, BAe 146/ARJ, CARAVELLE (we did not make these models .... and host them by consent only having imported them to our inventory) are publicly available from FS.COM and AVSIM. We/HJG .... do not accept repaint request for virtual airlines or "FAKE" airline/operator subjects .... though having said this our painters are free to assist such requests privately "IF THEY WISH TO". Folk can paint our models (PSD's are not necessary for experienced painters) .... if they wish. All we ever ask is that folk p-l-e-a-s-e show a little "courtesy" by "ASKING US FIRST" and before uploading their work elsewhere .... HOWEVER .... we/HJG also demand (and these are really the only demands we impose .... as follows) that all original HJG authors be acknowledged .... and .... all standard HJG documentation be included within any such external upload .... and additionally .... that all such external uploads are "TEXTURE ONLY" releases (our FDE, models, panels, sounds "MAY NOT" be included as part of any external upload .... and finally .... whatever is authorized for external uploading must remain "ABSOLUTELY FREE" for anyone whom wishes to enjoy it. ALL PRETTY DARNED EASY REALLY ! Additionally when folk ask for permission to paint our models themselves .... in cases where these realworld subjects are not already contemplated by our own painters .... then 9 times out of 10 we work an arrangement by which that person is then authorized to upload their texture externally, and, we also then host .... "HERE AT HJG" .... a copy of it too and which is then fully accredited to that person of course. The only other expectation that is ever imposed (in addition to all of the above) and which applies to both HJG members and non-members alike, is that whatever is uploaded "HERE", at HJG, remains permanently available. AGAIN .... ALL PRETTY DARNED EASY REALLY .... and .... standard HJG policy of the past 10 years. The best things in life are "FREE" and "NEVER CHANGE" anyway ;D I hope this helps clarify anything/everything you, or anyone else, wishes to know Mark C AKL/NZ

Actually sir, I'm a little confused now. It seems like you say that HJG does not distribute a paintkit/PSD yet you say "folks can paint our models (PSD's are not necessary for experienced painters)" which is where I am thrown off. Could you possibly explain what appears to me to be a dicrepancy in statements?

There's absolutely no discrepancy at all there .... and .... I don't think anything requires further explanation, beyond the following ....
1. HJG don't provide, and have never provided, PSD files for public use. "NONE" exist for some of our own aircraft anyway. Those PSD's which the group does have are are an exclusive "member only access" privilege.
2. PSD files aren't absolutely essential for painting some of our aircraft .... at least not by skilled/highly experienced FS texture artists in particular. None of those textures for HJG models which have been painted by non-members and are available externally (i.e. those not released by ourselves) have ever been completed using PSD's .... simply because those artists responsible for such works have never had access to them (those that we have) in the first instance.

Though you did not see it as a discrepancy your explanation is exactly what I wanted and thank you. I've built the list and will construct my own blank texture (which will NEVER EVER EVER be redistributed) and go from there. I will send you my final copies; furthermore, at this point I have no intention of releasing my paint to the public initially unless interest is generated. If I generate interest then I will contact HJG for final approval before public distribution.
