Hey Nick and everyone,
Having taken the 717 through a couple of flights, first of all this plane like the rest of the Dc-9 series is nothing short of an awesome job. Payware quality (Or better!) I have a couple of questions and this is probably operator error on my part, but I'm at a loss.
1) I'm flying the TWA paint attached to the "01" model. I cannot get the airstairs to deploy. I've tried Shift E (1 thru 4), Tailhook, Wing-fold, and Water rudder. Is there something I'm missing? 2) I cannot get the aircraft to power back. Is this the way the FDE is built or is there something I need to do?
Thanks for all the help...

1) I'm flying the TWA paint attached to the "01" model. I cannot get the airstairs to deploy. I've tried Shift E (1 thru 4), Tailhook, Wing-fold, and Water rudder. Is there something I'm missing? 717s don't have rear airstairs. The forward stairs on all the DC-9 series planes are deployable using the "Concorde Visor" command. This command is not assigned by default and needs to be setup by the user. You can use any key you like that is not already assigned. The forward stairs work best using the Extend/Retract fully commands. In all honesty I don't think I ever did a powerback with the 717. I know TWA prohibited them, but I know AirTran has done them. Try increasing the "min_throttle_limit" to something like -0.40 in the GENERALENGINEDATA section of the aircraft.cfg Nick

The best way to change this is to edit the max reverse thrust value in the air file. It's a percentage of THROTTLE, not thrust however.

Nick, I do remember seeing that TWA prohibited them. I'm not sure if I'm just crossing aging memories here but I wonder if this was initially the case. very early on in the delivery schedule, (I think it was ship 2403,) I took a flight from STL-ORF and back, and the 717 was less than a week after we got it, and I thought he did a powerback out of the ORF gate. But like I said, I may be crossing 10-12 year old memories here.
Thanks for the help/info. I really am enjoying the heck out of this model.
