I can only add/confirm ....
The HSI gauges in HJG's B727 (as well as those for the B707/720, CV990-A, and DC8 too) ..... and L1011 panels .... are both "quite differen
One version will be more advantaged (L1011) over the other (B727) in terms of the information presented .... hence the obvious variation evident in these displays/indications.

Greetings, Can anyone explain (when using INS navigation) why the course select pointer automatically updates on some models (like the L-1011) but does not on others?
Thanks in advance,
GD The L-1011 is one of a newer generation of aircraft in which the HSIs are integrated with the autopilot, The course selection comes from the selected VOR course if the autopilot navigation source is set to RADIO, or from the INS if the navigation source is set to INS (in my FS panels, I also provided the third option of GPS for ease of use, but this was not found on the real aircraft of course). The other aircraft which I have made panels for were older aircraft where the HSIs were not integrated with the autopilot in the same way, and thus only show a VOR/ILS course set on the HSI itself. INS was added as an afterthought to these aircraft, and was not part of the original design. Hope this helps, George

While I have your ear, let me take a second to sincerely thank you for all of your hard work on these wonderful planes. I own all of the pay stuff (PMDG/LSH/iFLY/ect..) but on any given night you'll find me on VATSIM flying old tin from HJG. The new and improved L-1011 is simply one of the best flying planes in my hanger.
Big thanks to everyone here at HJG,
Greg D.
