Is there a panel that replicates the KC-135A panel for the aircraft as it appears later in life? I.e. the INS and flight director of the R model panel? Basically a panel for the airplane from the late 70's up to their withdrawl from use or upgrade to the R model.
Thanks

"Technically speaking" .... we don't at this time, have "a specific KC135 type panel" to offer .... BUT .... our current B367-80/B707/B720 line of panels by George CARTY are intended for use with these military aircraft. Here are our recommended PANEL/C135 TYPE assignments .... And here´s our sound/audio recomendations for these aircraft also .... just be sure to use the correct soundpack, and panel too, with each aircraft type .... All of this information .... "AND MORE" .... is otherewise available from the our ABOUT HJG AIRCRAFT forum page .... tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=hjgaircraftlistingsJust a few words of advice regarding your specific request in relation to an KC135-R type panel configuration for the KC135-aircraft .... Our KC135-A panel asignment reflects, intentionally, late 1950´s period instrumention. The INS gauge could probably (I´m not entirely sure) be taken from one of our other INS equipped B707 panels .... BUT .... I wouldn´t recommend doing this (unless folk are extremly competent in respect of panel and FDE editing) as it would also impose an AP gauge replacement too (and possibly other PANEL.CFG and AIRCRAFT.CFG modifications as well) since the INS and AP are both interlinked .... as I understand. Also .... If one was to just alias an INS equipped late model B707 panel to the KC135-A aircraft .... then this would basically work .... BUT BEWARE .... because doing this would also result in engine instrument readings then being "right out of whack" as well as a possible loss of the intended smoke effects for this aircraft too. All of our panels feature engine gauges and FDE calibrated (as best as FS will permit) in accordance with the realworld parameters of each aircraft/engine type .... and which do vary considerably among both B707/720 and C135 TYPE aircraft. I want to be sure folk appreciate there´s a whole lot more to all of this than actually meets the eye ! Also .... when such modifications are performed it then becomes increasingly more difficult for us/HJG to provide support .... so we generally don't in these cases .... as any editiing/modification is then regarded, by us, a non-standard adaption of the product we otherwise provide, know well, and support .... to the best of our ability.
