Usually the JFK flight was handled by the MD-82's or MD-83's of the ALM fleet. I can remember flying on PJ-SEG "Kibrahacha" for one of the flights.

That would have hapened later .... but .... during the late 1970´s and early 1980´s it would have been the DC8´s (probaly the -53 PH-DCO) flying the NY service .... if ALM was flying there at all during this time.

At some point in the late 80's/early 90's ALM ditched the twin-wrap stripe livery:

In favor of the twin cheatline livery:

Although, at least one plane got a variation of the twin cheatline livery, with one stripe above the windows:

Clearly there were lots of different paint jobs floating around during the changeover from KLM to ALM. I have to say though, this Fairchild Hiller probably sports the best half-and-half retro/modern livery I've found.

Those ALM liveries apearing in your MD images "might" be considered when our MD80/90 flightline becomes available here !

Those modifications appearing in the ALM livery .... after their first MD80 deliveries .... certainly must have saved them some masking time = $$$$$$
