Calair was formed on November 17th,1970 as a Frankfort,Germany based charter using five former Eastern B720-025's.
Unfortunately they did not receive their operating permit until July 1971 which caused a major loss of summer revenue income.
Due to financial difficulties the 720's were seized by the creditors in March 1972 and the company ceased operations on May 13th,1972.
Some of the aircraft went on to fly for Ambassadair.
