There are no issues with any of the HJG DC9´s .... or any of the other HJG aircraft which are currently available .... in a WINDOWS 7 environment and FS2004 .... so far as i´m aware !
I can confirm this from personal experience because our Camilo LUENGAS has just intalled WINDOWS 7 .... and FS2004 (and FSX too) .... and over the past few weeks we have been transferring data/aircraft files for "all" HJG aircraft from the PC I use here in Colombia over to his new PC (installing everythig into FS2004 only) in order to avoid having to download and install everything right from scratch.
Provided all of the necessary aircraft files .... gauges and modules "in particular" .... are installed in the correct FS destination folders then you should have no problem at all.
In respect the message you´re seeing .... and apparently in relation to the HJG DC9´s only .... the only time I´ve ever seen a message like this was when I assisted someone, in person, whom had tried to install the HJG/HILMERBY/CARTY DC9 panel components, but, whom had made a mistake when installing the DC9 PANEL GAUGES/CORE FILES package .... which resulted in the 2 supplied DLL files going to the same FS directory folder rather than their intended seperate destination FS directory folders.
I "assume" you may be intending to use the HJG/HILMERBY/CARTY DC9 panels .... and .... that you "might" have made the same inadvertent error too !
If this be the case .... then I want you to undertake the DC9 panel installation procedure "again" .... strictly in accordance with the following advice and which is also consistent with the recommended installation instructions which accompany all panel related files for the HJG DC9´s.
1. All DC9 panels should be installed inside your
"FS9 FSCONV" folder .... and the PANEL.CFG file within the default PANEL folder which acompanies your DC9 Aircraft Base Pack/s then
"aliased back to the FSCONV folder and the appropriate DC9 panel".2. Install all DC9 PANEL GAUGES inside your FS9
"GAUGES" folder.
3. Install all DC9 PANEL SOUNDS inside your FS9
"SOUND" folder .... not the default SOUND folder which accompanies you DC9 Aircraft Base Pack/s
NOW HERE´s THE IMPORTANT PART .... WHERE SOME PEOPLE SEEM TO GO WRONG ....4. There are 2 DLL files supplied for use with these DC9 panels and these are named as follows ....
- FSSound.dll
- GaugeSound.dllPLEASE NOTE CAREFULLY AS FOLLOWS ....
Install the FSSOUND.DLL file inside the FS9
"MODULES" folder .... but .... instaly the GAUGESOUND.DLL file inside the
"FLIGHT SIMULATOR 9" folder.
If both DLL files are installed within the same FS MODULES folder then , from what I´ve seen and fixed previously, it will result in the HJG DC9´s not loading past the MSFS Aircraft Selection Preview Menu as well as a message similar to that which you´re currently getting.
WE´RE NOT DONE YET EITHER BTW .... 5. Locate your FS9.CFG file and then add and save the following edit to the bottom of this CFG file .... if you haven´'t already done it ....
[OLDMODULES]
FSSound.dll=1I encourage people to "copy & paste" this edit, "as-is" above, to their CFG files in order to avoid the possibility of typos should they edit manually.
I wouldn´t mind supposing that the DLL bit of this advice is possiibly where you might have gone wrong .... and that it´s what might possibly be causing your particular problem.
Again .... I can confirm, from recent experience, that there are no apparent issues in regard to any of the HJG aircraft, panels/gauges, sounds, textures, and effects files being installed in FS2004 and in a WINDOWS 7 environment.
