The only condition I've ever observed that might cause this to happen is if a couple of the panel gauges/modules files are installed in the wrong place/destination folder.
There are no known issues relating to any of the DC9 panels or their supporting gauges/core files components that might cause such a condition when selecting/loading any of the DC9's, with out panels, into FS9.
I want you to undertake the DC9 panel installation procedure "once again" .... but .... strictly in accordance with the following advice and which is also consistent with the recommended installation instructions which accompany all panel related files for the DC9´s ....
1. All DC9 panels should be installed inside your
"FS9 FSCONV" folder .... and the PANEL.CFG file within the default PANEL folder inside your DC9 Aircraft Base Pack then
"aliased back to the FSCONV folder and the appropriate DC9 panel".2. Install all DC9 PANEL GAUGES inside your FS9
"GAUGES" folder.
3. Install all DC9 PANEL SOUNDS inside your FS9
"SOUND" folder .... not the default SOUND folder which accompanies you DC9 Aircraft Base Pack/s
NOW HERE´s THE IMPORTANT PART .... WHERE SOME PEOPLE SEEM TO HAVE GONE WRONG IN THE PAST ....4. There are 2 DLL files supplied for use with these DC9 panels which are named as follows ....
- FSSound.dll
- GaugeSound.dllPLEASE NOTE CAREFULLY AS FOLLOWS ....
Install the FSSOUND.DLL file (only) inside the FS9
"MODULES" folder .... but .... install the GAUGESOUND.DLL file (only) inside the
"FLIGHT SIMULATOR 9" folder.
AND WE´RE NOT DONE YET EITHER .... 5. Locate your FS9.CFG file and then add and save the following edit to the bottom of this CFG file .... if you haven´'t already done it ....
[OLDMODULES]
FSSound.dll=1I encourage folk to "copy & paste" this edit "as-is" to their FS9.CFG files in order to avoid the possibility of typos.
I wouldn't mind supposing that the DLL bit of this advice is possiibly where you might have gone wrong .... and what's maybe causing your problem.
