i don't understand why I have the fps falling at 9 when when with RC-135, e8 E3.. Someone as an idea why. I am using aircrafts with heavier texture without problem. Also using hlj panels and sound with. really strange

I'm not aware of any such problems being reported in respect of FPS and these along with other HJG aircraft .... at least none that I, immediately, recall.
I presume you've perfomed a text book installation .... "PRECISELY in accordance with the instalation instructions in respect of aircraft base pack/s, panel/s, texture/s, and sound/s and haven't modified anything along the way.
Some system/PC specifications might be helpful !

It really doesn't matter how heavy the textures are of other aircraft you have used, if the RC-135 has a very high polygon count, chances are your system is struggling with the model.
Models can be very low poly and have really high detailed textures and... Models can be very high poly and have really high detailed textures
You'll get better performance with the model that isn't as dense, in this case, the low poly model.
A box with one face is easier to render a texture too than a box that has 10 faces of equal size, get the idea?

Mark is correct in asking for system specs. Also make sure Direct X is unchecked in FSX and you are tweaking FSX settings per the instructions in this thread. That will greatly increase FPS. I have to problem with FSX Accel with any HJG aircraft. Depending on settings I can get as high as 65.

Oops. Sorry I meant I have NO problems with FSX Accel in any HJG Aircraft.

"THIS" .... what I'm about to say .... is "a long shot" .... BUT .... thinking about things more intently .... I do now recfall "1 only" report", from 6 years ago, in which someone commented in regard to experiencing a similar loss of FPS when using 1 of the HJG B707's .... but .... in FS2004 rather than FSX.
As it turned out .... on that particular occasion .... there was nothing wrong with any of the files or their installation .... other than one of them appared to be "corrupted". That corruption became evident when we asked the guy to quote the unzipped file size .... and which was then determined to have been "way out of proportion/above what it should ever have been" in terms of unzipped file size.
That particular guy then resolved his problem by simply deleting everything he had (in relation to just that 1 particular aircraft) .... and then redownloading and reinstalling eveything once again .... which then resulted in no further problem.
Once again .... there's no persistant issue regarding FPS and any of these HJG aircraft or panels .... "so far as I'm aware".
Having said that though .... we do know there is (in FS2004) a tendancy for "1" of the C135 TYPE models to lag .... just for a very brief moment .... when commanding the side views into view from the 2D panel. Whether or not this "very minor" issue affects FSX (since it's my understanding that most of our 2D panel side views won't display in FSX) .... "I KNOW NOT".

Mark
Just for information...
No panel side views will show in FS.X as it doen't support 2D panels in the way FS.9 does.

Another FSX/Accel user here (almost 2 years) ... been using HJG planes since, well, since when HJG hosted my favourite civilian jet aircraft (Jetstar) ... so however long that was. Continued using the planes in FSX .... On the models I've used (Caravelle, DC-8, Convair, B707 family) I get maxed FPS (I cap it at 40). 4 Year old system, modest specs. I installed as spelled out with only 1 exception - I put the gauges in the panel folder of the plane in question rather than chogging my master gauge folder full of gauges - makes de-installation easy if required for trouble shooting. Not saying to recommending it per se - just a personal preference. Like I said - no performance issues. I have experienced FS9 aircraft with VCs dragging FPS down, since FS9 VCs are done completely differently (part of main model) versus how they are done in native FSX aircraft (separate exterior and interior models). But since HJG aircraft have (so far) no VC, that issue is moot - so I would echo the sentiments that HJG/AFG aircraft work great out of the box in FSX. Exceptions are of course, the BAe 146, DC-9, MD+ series, as clearly indicated in the panel downloads section. Still, the glass is more than half full .... DL

Thanks for this comment, it might actually be of some benefit installing the gauges as you say, although I can only recommend it if installing just a few of our aircraft, otherwise you may have a lot of redundancy.... but still, it is a good tip along with others ... no harm done in trying it out...

What folk do (how they install) is entirely up to them .... of course .... and both methods of gauges installation "do", seem, to work fine in regard to the panels we offer, BUT, allow me to briefly explain "WHY" things have been recommended according to the manner in which they´re provided .... When compiling "new" panel files I, generally, only include gauges files inside the actual PANEL folder (as I did recently for our MD80, MD90/B717-200, and CONCORDE panel offerings) "IF", I feel, these have yet to be further developed/improved. I do that simply to try´n avoid cluttering peoples FS GAUGES folders with what "may otherwise" .... later .... become redundant/dormant material which, potentially, just ends up sitting there taking up unecessary space. Those panels/core files offered by us and which download with instructions to install their gauges content inside the FS GAUGES folder (the majority) represent those gauges suites which I´m "totally satisfied with" .... or .... are otherwise easily identified and removed/uninstalled later .... if desired. It´s in regard to this category of panel/gauge files content (only) that I adhere to what´s generally considered to be standard/normal FS file installation conventions. The only "standing exception" to the above is in regard to the CARAVELLE panels which we offer here .... each of which downloads with its own specific gauges set .... and which is necessary due to the variation of flightdeck configurations represented for most of these aircraft. It does tend to make our job (support) a bit easier "IF" everyone installs everything according to the prescribed method (which they don´t .... I know ;D) .... especially in cases where we may need to assist with troubleshooting later .... BUT AGAIN .... both preferences "do otherwise" seem to work OK Mark C BOG/CO
