Hi HJG Aircraft Painters I took these 3 photos attached at Brooklands Museum about a month ago of Concorde G-BBDG wondering if this repaint could be considered. Thanks. Regards dave

Probably not "ALMGUY1" .... only by virtue of the fact that we already have basically 2 variations of that same particular livery era represented here .... in the form of the 1977 version with full "BRITISH AIRWAYS" titles, as well as the 1983 version with "BRITISH" (only) titles .... both featuring the same Union Jack tail and the thin blue fuselage stripe. There is, however, 1 other different variation of the same livery era .... which I'm currently looking at .... featuring full titles and the same tail, but, "NO" fuselage stripe. Without checking I think this particular livery was applied to G-BFKW when it first entered BA service .... and beforet later becoming G-BOAG. There's about 5 or 6 other variation of realwaorl CONCORDE liveries/texture covering AEROSPATIALE, AIR FRANCE, and BOAC which I hope to eventually bring here .... in due course ! Mark C AKL/NZ

Mark C AKL/NZ Ok Thanks Mark, Well I was thinking that G-BBDG was partially used for spare parts for BA concordes for a few years and almost totally scrapped until rescued and rebuilt by Brooklands volunteers and repainted in above scheme. I am of the opinion that it earned its new paint job and would be well represented as displaying it's new colors. Since 2006. Just a thought for the Preproduction Test model G-BBDG that made all Concordes Built after safe to fly. Kind Regards Dave

It/G-BBDG "COULD", I s'pose, be repesented given it's "unique historical status" .... first as a BRITISH AIRCRAFT CORPORATION/AEROPSPATIALE test aircraft .... and finally as the BROOKLANDS MUSEUM exihibit which it currenly is .... BUT .... beyond these facts, to do so would, essentially, just be duplicating one of the liveries we've already got represented because this particular aircraft, at BROOKLANDS, supports precisely the same BA livery version as our current 1977 one .... as far I can determine .... "NO" .... it's FSFT only, but, we do have one of the original BRITISh AIRCRAFT CORPORATION liveries for it .... representing G-BBDG as she appeared 1n 1974 .... as follows .... Mark C AKL/NZ

Cheers Tony It is the same paint as you have already Tony but I guess I got quite attached to it while I was there so . I was thinking that to make it as being still around which it is, It would be good to recognize its current standing as part of Concorde History,,, Just giving it a shot never know unless you try...really appreciate all the great work you guys do. Mark C AKL/NZ Thats right Mark, I knew it was already in BAC/AeroSp livery but because of current historical standing and because its being a hot item to visit, I might be a good idea to let people know its still around. In its new but old livery. Just thinking about the new generations of HJG pilots. regards Dave

Too bad they have this beautifull V Vanguard Nose section being overgrown with weeds behind Concorde G-BBDG it could be made into something like a Vanguard flight deck exhibit. I wished I had it. its in the same colors as the complete V V nearby.
