The base pack of the Concorde (concorde_base_pack_v1.zip) is badly formatted. It downloads well but doesn't open (I'm using Firefox, so this is not the well-known trick of IE... This is a TRUE issue of the file itself). Additionally, I tried to download it with a Linux machine, and the Linux tools also confirm that the ZIP file is corrupted. This often happens when a huge ZIP file is created with WinRAR (I don't know if it was the case here, but the symptoms are similar). WinRAR seems buggy in creating huge ZIP files (there are no noticeable issues with usual-size files, only with the huge ones). Could you please try to regenerate the ZIP file (either with WinZIP or directly with Windows itself) ? Thanks a lot for all your work, once again.

Well quite a few people has already downloaded the file and installed the Concorde without any problems, so quite frankly I think the issue lies at your side, not ours....

The uploaded files was/is prepared in WINZIP format.
Being of "24.1 MB in size" I wouldn't regard it as a large file .... by todays FS standards .... or indeed by the standards of most internet connections today either.
It's "not" uncommon for files to become corrupted during downloading processes .... for whatever network reason might apply, but, as Dan implies, that's something outside our/HJG's control.
There's nothing wrong the uploaded file .... so far as I'm aware.

I often create winzip file of over 100MB and never have a problem in FireFox or IE
Before you declare it buggy look closer to home.
As said others have managed it so why just assume it's someone elses fault because you have a problem

Hello, Well problems are always possible But it's no problems .. only solutions .. ;D I just tested a download of Concorde base archive with IDM (Internet Download Manager) .. and the download can be resumed ! So if you have a persisting problem .. you can use a download manager .. (it's many free) .. or maybe you can resume the download with Firefox .... Regards.

Not to mention : I have exactly the problem mentionned above : the d/l is announced to be about 24 Mb, but I finally silently got a 19.6 Mb file. This is the very first time I got a problem during all the years I've browsed HJG...
In fact in the meantime I have found a workaround (which works in Firefox), described below (thanks Mark for the clue about the file size).
I made several attempts to d/l the file with Firefox (all failed as above), only to monitor the d/l while it was in progress : every time, the download paused itself around 19 Mb for a few seconds, then stopped (resulting in a 19.6 Mb truncated file unfortunately not flagged as error).
I then tried to voluntarily pause the d/l (in the Firefox download window) for a few seconds when it's approchaching 19 Mb... and then resume it : and that time, the d/l got to the end (I mean, to the real file size of 24.1 Mb).
Happy Christmas to everybody !

I need to stress .... there's actually "nothing wrong" with the CONCORDE base pack ZIP file as is currently supplied by us.
As a result of feedback on this particular thread I've successfully downloaded and unzipped this file .... 3 times now .... in 2 different countries .... since we first uploaded it last December .... and without any problem, whatsoever, on each occasion.
"IF" anyone is experiencing any difficulties downloading or unzipping this particular file then, I feel, that's likely to be the result of network related issues (files becoming corrupted during the downloading processes etc) over which we/HJG have absolutely no control .... it can happen !!!!
From my experience .... I tend toward believing the speed and stability of ones Internet connection may have a lot to do with the issue reported .... by the few .... very few in fact from what I've been able to determine privately .... whom appear to be experiencing it.
Again .... there's absolutely no problem with the file as provided by us/HJG
