I am wondering should the flightdeck sounds all be completely silenced when the engines and APU have been shut down. Just noticed that their still seems to be a high pitched noise and a sound like an apu still going on. Or is this normal. Thanks Regards Dave

Dave .... what you´re hearing is both quite normal and intentional.
After shutting the engines down the sound of inverters and avionics will prevail .... simulating the aircraft having been connected to a ground power source .... as one would expect on turn-around/between flights, or, in the case of an airecraft being prepared for its first flight of the day.

Mark C BOG/CO Ok Thanks Mark I forgot about Ground Power Unit, because they usually use APU on the Ground at least most of the time. OK Well thats good to know that I don't have a problem with that issue. One More Problem I have is after Night or Day take off with all lights on ,Beacons and so on when the flaps are retracted all lighting goes off . I usually use Keyboard L but to get the lights back on but I had to go thru all the switches on the overhead panel to finally get them back on in Flight. Im not really sure which one did the trick as I went thru them all several times. Can you point me in the right area. This is something that always seems to happen on flaps retract. Thanks Regards Dave
