Virtual Airline Needing Fleet

Good Morning folks,

Not sure if this is where I should post this, so Moderators if needed please move to proper Forum Area.

I am new here and was given this link by a friend of mine. I am the CEO of ATA Virtual which is just starting up and would like some info on your Repaints.

ATA Virtual is a VA based of the ATA Airline which has been closed down for several years and we noticed you have 4 aircraft that ATA once flew. Now after reading your FAQ's it states that we are not allowed to upload these files to our Website(s) does this include VA's?

Our downloads for our Fleet are only visible to our Pilots, therefore it wouldn't be accessible to the general public. If we are allowed to use such files from your downloads we do agree to keep all files intact and unmodified with the exception of the base file aircraft.cfg file which would have the textures downloaded from your downloads section listed in the .cfg file to show the aircraft in FS9.

The 4 files in Question are:
1) 707-120b_american_trans_air_1982_n7570a
2) 707-120b_american_trans_air_1984_n7587a
3) 720_american_tran_air_1982_n8790r
4) b707-320c_american_trans_air_1983_323c_n8416

We would greatly appreciate your approval of allowing us to use your files for our VA to enhance our livery.

We are in need of other Fleet and will be making a request here soon.

I did look on the homepage for contact info to get approval but did not see anything other then mentioning the forums.

You´re probably best to have a chat with HJG CEO Tony MADGE.

It´s true we don´t allow any of our files to be uploaded elsewhere .... and that does include VA websites too.

HOWEVER .... although "THIS" (the above) has been standing HJG policy of the last 12 years, I (personally) see no reason why we can´t work something out .... that will allow your VA members to be directed to our/HJG website in order to download the models, panels, sounds, and effects which we host here and which provide support for .... BUT .... this´s what you need to talk to Tony about prior initiating anything.

Again .... I don´t see any problems associated with the like of what I´ve suggested (above) .... simply because, as far as I´m concerned, it represents no further imposition, to this group, beyond that which we already attend to on a daily basis anyway .... where necessary. We already currently do this anyway for another VA whos operations are based on those of another no longer existent major realworld airline.

You may .... or may not, yet, be aware .... BUT .... we also host a number of ATA L1011 textures also .... within our L1011 downloads section.

Agreed, use our planes but the files remain on this website so just link to the specific plane you wish to use.

In terms of "LINKING" to files .... I think what Tony probably meant is .... "direct your members/pilots to this/HJG website" .... to access what they need in regard to models, textures, panels, sounds, and effects, .... and we´ll then also provide support for them .... "HERE" .... if they need it

You might like to consider illustrating what we currently offer (in terms of ATA aircraft textures at least) on your own website .... with appropriate text in regard to everything else.

We don´t allow "DIRECT LINKING" to our files .... especially in the event that we may, in future , ever decide to start changing things from as is currently presented here.

Let us know if you have any particular queries as to how everything should be "correctly" assembled .... and we´ll be glad to try´n advise accordingly .... and along the basis of what we´ve suggested, for you, above.
