You shouldn't be getting any gauges error whatsoever .... obviously
These panels have been available "HERE" for almost 2 years now and are very well tested/understood.
Experience has taught us that when such errors appear .... 99% of the time if not 100% of the time .... it's usually because "some aspect" of our recommended installation procedures has been misunderstood .... or not otherwise not followed.
We respect that it "IS" easy to make a mistake !!!!
I therefore want you to completely revise your complete panel/gauge installation procedure once again .... BUT .... precisely in accordance with the following recommended installation procedures ....
1. The folder named Gauges contains 50 gauges files. Install all of the individual contents of this folder .... 60 gauge files in total .... inside your FS2004
"GAUGES" folder.
2. The folder named Modules contains 2 modules files. Be very careful with these 2 files because their FS destination folders are both different ....
- Install the "FSound.dll" file (only) inside your FS2004
"MODULES" folder.
- Install the "GaugeSound.dll" file (only) inside your
"FLIGHT SIMULATOR 9" folder.
If this above step is not performed correctly then the panel will not work .... in fact it will cause FS2004 to "CRASH" when any HJG DC9, using our panels, is selected from the MSFS aircraft selection menu.
3. The folder named Sound contains 65 WAV/sound files. Install all of the individual contents of this folder .... 65 WAV/sound files in total .... inside your FS2004
"SOUND" folder .... PLEASE NOTE: This is the "SOUND" folder located inside your "FLIGHT SIMULATOR 9" folder and not the Sound folder inside your DC9 Aircraft Base Pack folder.
4. This next step is very important ....
and it's where I suspect you may have gone wrong during your own installation procedure. If this next essential step is not performed "correctly" then you will see an FS2004 warning message ("Potentially Incompatible Software Warning" .... which may even hilite particular gauge file names) when FS is started ....
- Locate your FS9.CFG file (it's destination will vary according to WINDOWS OS version) .... and then "copy & paste" (if done correctly this edit simply won't work/cancel the warning) the following data lines to this file .... and then "SAVE" this edit ....
[OLDMODULES]
FSSound.dll=1"IF" the above instructions are followed "TO THE LETTER" .... and which "ARE" in accordance with the Installation Instructions which accompany our DC9 PANEL GAUGES CORE FILES package .... then you will not/should not experience any problems .... at all.
It is also recommended that each of our individual DC9 PANEL folders (the actual aircraft panel folders which are separate to the GAUGES/CORE FILES content) be installed inside the FS9/FS2004
"FSFSCONV" folder .... and the CFG file contained inside the default SOUND folder, inside your DC9 Aircraft Base Pack folder, then aliased back to the FSFSCOV folder and its appropriate/recommended DC9 PANEL folder.
PLEASE NOTE: It is important/essential to mate the correct aircraft/engine type base pack version with the correct corresponding aircraft type/engine type panel version .... or .... performance problems "WILL" result.
