Hi There... I'm a member of the HAG Virtual Airline which uses KACARS... an automated PIREP system. People may be familiar with it? Here's the problem....I'm using FSX and XP BTW.. Basically, when set up the excellent L1011 (any version) I then reduce the screen size to launch KACARS.. try to go back to full screen..and nothing ...the hour glass then the dreaded 'FSX Fatal Error' notice... I use the B727, 707, Convair....all from HJG and all with out any problems whatsoever...Well except my inability to fly them well.. Wondering if anyone here has an answer...bit of a long shot I know..wondering if it's anything to do with that particular aircraft as all the others work fine... Thanks for your time Best Wishes ZA

The L1011's were all "well tested" prior to release "HERE" .... both in FS9 (in particular) and FSX .... but .... only in the context of what's supplied/how they're configured to run .... "as supplied by us". Start applying other formulae/utilities .... other than what these actually come/download with .... and it's conceivable they, like anything else, may not, necessarily, react well to it. I can't really say much more than that .... because I don't use nor are familiar with the KACARS and automated PIREP systems you mention.I suppose you're using the panels we provide for these aircraft .... SO .... it's, possible, that somewhere there-in is where the root of your problem may lie rather than with the actual simulations themselves .... and remembering also .... HJG today represents the work of a number of different developers rather than just one exclusive designer/programmer methodology/philosophy (in terms of panels/gauges in particular) .... and which is what might result in something like KAKARS and/or PIREP systems working fine with some of what we provide here, but, not necessarily everything unanimously. ADENDA .... Just thinking anbout this some more .... There have been "a few" (3 that I recall) reports recently in regard to folk experiencing CTD's or other problems .... when reducing screensize, or, operating in reduced window sizes, or transitioning between these screen options .... with some of the panels we offer, so, you're experience could also, possibly, be related to this .... and .... could also, possibly, be graphics card related as well .... Hi Mark... Thanks for taking the time to reply...I'm using the correct panels, so it's not that. I'm very careful with panel installation now Was more curious I supposes. As I think your indicating, there's probably some sort of 'conflict' between this AC and KACARS....or something. As I said, I suspect it's KACARS and not the AC as the L1011 works fine in any other environment. Not a problem...will revert to pencil, paper and a stopwatch Again thanks for your time. No problem Ralph .... I wasn't actually implying you might be using wrong panels .... because that wouldn't/shouldn't be causative of any such issue as you're apparently experiencing .... BUT .... either of the other 2 possibilities I've suggested could, possibly, be a contributing factor. About "window resizing" and those 3 CTD reports I mentioned above also .... none of these reports have ever implicated any of our L1011 panels, so it's, maybe, not a case of this either. I really wouldn't have a clue in this particular case .... I'm sorry Mark C AKL/NZ

ZA, I am also a member of HAG and I use kacars all the time. I tried to replicate your problem and I used the HJG Erick Cantu Air Canada L1011-100 in FSX and I had no problems at all while switching back and forth from full screen to windowed and activating kacars, however my OS is Vista and not XP. Don't know if that would make a difference. Herman
