Hi All,
New to the forums but have "lurked" for a while, I have to say I adore the MD-8x release! Been after a decent freeware MD-8x for a while.
I was wondering if I could possibly request a repaint of an Allegiant Air MD-80?
All The Best,
Steve

I agree with you---the HJG Maddog is the best out there! I purchased the CLS payware MD-80 when it was half-price, and while it is a good product, the HJG plane is better. I don't fly VC, so that is no issue for me.

Aha!
I clearly haven't quite mastered the search function here yet ;D
Thanks a bunch guys! I do love seeing the Allegiant Mad-Dog's when I fly into SFB!

those are Nicks own variants from his own website, they are not on HJG.

It's the same Model, isn't it, Tony?

Yes it is but the FDE may be different, visually the textures will fit though

Another thing too .... Tony's selection of ALLEGIANT MD80 liveries are indeed just that .... "a selection of different variations of liveries" .... rather than just 1 or 2 examples .... as follows .... MD82 .... 1X aircraft with different variations of livery ! MD83 .... 3X aircraft with different variations of livery ! MD87 .... 2X aircraft with different variations of livery ! Mark C AKL/NZ

Having "now" looked at the MDX files (both aircraft base packs and textures) available on Nicholas BOTAMER's new FS website .... I can confirm the following ....
- All NBFS supplied 3D models representing MDX aircraft appear to be the same as those offered "HERE" at HJG.
- Both HJG and NBFS supplied MDX textures appear to fit the models contained in either aircraft base pack.
- The AIR.FILE component contained among the NBFS supplied FDE "may" be "fractionally different" than those contained among the HJG supplied aircraft base packs .... but .... the "HJG supplied" AIRCRAFT.CFG files "may" better represent MD8X aircraft versions (in terms of both weight and thrust parameters .... and because "some" of the rarer MD87 and MD90 aircraft versions are not represented by NBFS) .... and which seems to be the only difference.
This means the HJG hosted AEROMUSICA MD80 sound pack (and the, hopefully, soon to be released MD90 sound pack too .... "it is finished, but, just waiting like everything else, to be released") are compatible with NBFS MDX aircraft (since the AIR data based engine parameters appear to remain unchanged) .... as are each of the 4 HJG hosted MDX panels too.
It is, therefore, quite practical for HJG to provide technical support (meaning me primarily) for NBFS MDX aircraft .... provided that HJG hosted sound packs and panels are used with these files. In this particular case there simply does not seem to be sufficient difference between the files offered by either website to imply HJG can't/shouldn't provide such support.
I also see Nick BOTAMER has, among accreditations included within the PDF contained among the NBFS files, acknowledged both myself and Mike MONCE in regard to flight testing and FDE development work. He didn't have to do that, but, the fact he has bothered to do so at all .... as well as acknowledging HJG too .... "IS" appreciated !
"THANK YOU" .... Nick .... should you ever read these words.
