Friends,
It would most appreciated if we could have the following painted in TWA stripes:
L1011 - your choice of model
B707C
B727-200
I have flight schedules for each of these and only one photo of the 707.
Thanks you for considering this project.

Seems like the 727's did lots of pax work when not freighting.

Garry,
hehhehe I know I just want to let the original poster know that if he or she is looking for TWA cargo livery on 727s, it is available on avsim and flightsim.

In respect of TWA CARGO B707-320C's .... We've already got .... and have had for some considerable time .... textures for our B707-320C model representing the following TWA CARGO liveries .... B707-331C N5774T "CARGOJET" (1968)B707-331C N15713 (1977).... but .... not in the later/1980's variation (double red fuselage stripe with red outlined hollow titles .... and ..... the same again with solid red titles too if that variation ever existed on TWA -320C freighters) .... which surprises me really because Nick was normally very thorough with his representation of TWA aircraft/liveries. See outr "B707-320C" download page for the above 2 TWA freighters. In respect of the others .... As Chris has already pointed out .... the L1011 FREIGHTYER ("The Led Sled") never existed in TWA livery and HJG doesn't ever represent "FAKE/WHAT IF" liveries .... AND .... Tony has already done all of the known major variations of TWA livery for each of the L1011 SERIES aircraft anyway ..... see each of the L1011 downloads pages for these subjects. We don't .... yet .... have any TWA B727 FREIGHTERS though Mark C AKL/NZ

Aharon Ah right ...but it's fiction, so has no place here...you should have clearly stated it was a fictional livery from elsewhere or folks might get the wrong impression.... No harm done

Gentlemen,
Please accept my sincere apologies for not seeing the B707C Skins. I thought I had searched every model but obviously I did not!
The B727-100QC had tail numbers:
N890TW thru N895TW.
In regards to the L1011, my friend who is a retired TWA Maintanance Manager swears that they had L1011 for freight. He is searching his library in hopes of finding a picture.
Thank you all for your patience with my lack of knowledge.
Scott

No problem "CLAWSONSA" .... you're not the first to be guilty of that inocent mistake (and we do respect that there are a lot of B707-320C textures to have to go through) .... and you won't be the last either One thing your query has hilited though .... is that there "IS", indeed, another version of TWA CARGO livery for the B707-320C that we/HJG "DO NOT" yet represent ..... as is evidenced by 1 of the image links provided by Chris .... SO .... "MAYBE" we'll see this version repesented here in the future. Mark C AKL/NZ

In respect of the TWA L1011's I forgot to mention ....
There were no pure freight configured L1011's (Led SLeds) in the TWA fleet .... BUT .... TWA would have carried freight on these aircraft as part of the normal underfloor freight consignment space.
Sometimes airlines haul freight "ONLY" even on a PAX configured aircraft .... because there's often much more money to be made in the carriage of freight than the carriage of PAX. AIR NEW ZEALAND .... and QANTAS AIRWAYS too .... have most certainly done this with their B767-300's .... and still do occasionally too or so I'm led to believe.
Whether or not TWA carried freight "ONLY" on any of its PAX configured L1011's .... I know not .... but .... it would surprise me indeed if they didn't occasionally.

BEA during the 1950's and 60's flew pure freight nightime schedules with Viscounts which were pax aircraft.
In the CI Rapides then Dakota and later Heralds would leave their seats behind in the CI and fly a freight flight to the UK and return first thing next morning with the newspapers, get the seats re fitted and be on pax duties a couple of hous later.
Auigny flies the newspapers every day to Alderney but ther's no feighter Trislanders as such. In that case they put the papers on the seats.
Some airlines even did away with designated freighters as they can get the freight in the underfloor holds.
There are not as many freighters at LHR as there wee many years ago but far more feight is carried than ever before. BEA stopped all their Mechantman freight schedules when the TriStars came on line because only Belfast and the CI had Merchantman flights and were not seved by TriStars. All the othe Merchanman destinations had the TriStar and there was more than enough space to take the loads in the holds.
Later all BA dedicated feighters were stopped for that reason. The only BA freighters are actually Global Supply Systems operating for BA in their livey out of Stansted which BA does not serve.

Eastern used freight services on A300s and 727s using special program called The Moonlight Special Flights where Eastern contracted out to cargo expediters to carry their cargo loads in cargo and luggage bays of the planes during very late nights while passengers flew without luggages on special "red eye" airfares. Not sure if L1011s and DC-10s participated in that program for Eastern. You will have to ask Peter about this.
