Permission for release of repaints

Dear Sirs,

We at Virtual PIA (www.vpia.org) have prepared a few liveries for 707, 720B, DC8, in various real world liveries they have appeared in for Pakistan International Airlines.

I would request permission to release those paints, with models, panel and sound on our site, avsim, and flightsim.

About Virtual PIA:

Welcome to the Historic Jetliners Group! Nice of you to stop by and nice of you to select our aircraft for your virtual airline. You should be hearing soon from the HJG staff about your request.

Technically, our policy prohibits this but let's wait and see, I'll have my fingers crossed for you.

I would love to see some screen shots of those painted liveries.

Thanks for asking and which "IS" always greatly appreciated .... since a lot of folk, today, seem to lack such "basic common courtesy"

Technically speaking .... HJG does not, normally, authorize the release of textures based on those 3D models which "we own" (i.e. B707, B720, CV880 DC8, DC9 .... the others are not ours and are not covered by this policy since we are simply "custodians/caretakers" of these) .... or any of the other files that we own and which hosted on this website.

We also do not, normally, authorize the release of textures (for our own models) by VA's which base their operations on "currently existent" real world airlines .... due to potential legal complications which have, in the past, arisen through some VA's not being particularly respecting.

HOWEVER ....

Let's see how we can "MAYBE" try to help you ....

I know your particular VA and that it is quite highly regarded .... and I also know some of the B747 and B777 repaints/textures produced for it and for the POSKY models .... which are all "QUITE SUPERB" to say the very least

"MAYBE" .... you could agree to uploading your realworld based B707, B720, and DC8 textures for our models (if we do not already host authentic versions of these) .... "HERE" at HJG .... to become a permanent part of our own current collection, but, fully credited to you .... and with your VA pilots then being referred to us/HJG in order to download these along with our aircraft base packs (models and FDE), panels, sound packs, and effects files .... and where we/HJG can/will provide them all of the necessary "SUPPORT".

How does a "compromise" of this nature sound ?

This sort of arrangement is similar to that which we already currently undertake in respect of 2 other major and highly regarded VA's .... and which seems to work quite well for everyone involved

"IF" you feel such an idea is "convenient" .... then kindly send a PM to HJG CEO Tony MADGE.

In the meantime .... I invite you to preview ("HERE") each of your PIA related B707, B720, and DC8 textures .... just so we can all see/enjoy them
