Altair Airlines was based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA.
It was in operation from 1967 to 1982.

To increase operations along the East Coast,three Ex Air Canada DC-9-32"s were added to the fleet of six Fokker F28-4000s.

In November 1982 the airline ceased operations and filed bankruptcy, due to mounting debts and a one million dollar jet fuel bill owed to Gulf Oil Corporation.
