In FSX how would I get the default push back truck to stop going under the nose of the plane to start the push back?
Put another way the hook in the front of the push back truck does not connect with the wheels to start the push back
The problem does not affect the actual push back but doesnt look good
thanks

I'm guessing only .... but .... It's a situation that one may need to have to put up with .... unfortunately Remember .... These B727's (in fact all of the current HJG 3D models) are FS2004 port-overs to FSX. In other words they're not custom built FSX specific models .... but .... they do all run OK in FSX anyway .... with the exception of the BAe146/RJ100 I think. Because none of our simulations come with any push-back tug animation, I suspect thre may be some degree of incompatibility with with the tug animation you're using and these models. This "MAY" be resolvable .... by CFG file adjustment, but, I can't say .... or even advise so .... definitively Mark C AKL/NZ

It is because of the co-ordinates of the wheel. If the coordinates to the wheel doesn't match the actual position of the wheel the push-back truck will not "connect" correctly .... If you use an add-on like AES, you will be able to position the truck with the visual position of the wheel .... otherwise you must try experimenting with the coordinates relative to the datum-ref-point of the aircraft .... Another workaround is of cause not to look during push-back, just like the real pilots can't see the truck from the "pit"

Thanks for the replies Mark and Dan...completely understand the issue with porting to FSX...not a major problem

I don't think that this is a porting to FSX issue .. had there been default trucks in FS9 the same thing would have occured ....

NO I got your point, I was just commenting on Mark's indication of that the issue might be related to the using of a FS9 model in FSX could be the reason. I don't think so. As I said... the same problem would probably be seen if you used the same model in FS9 AND if FS9 had push-back trucks ... hope everything is clear now? :-)
