Thanks for Mark it helps a lot, so does anyone know if it had GE or PW engines? I'm assuming those are PW engines since the model I have the textures on has spiky cone endings which only the GE type do.

As for Overland, PW engine MD-11 is freeware and GE engine MD-11 is payware.

Are you serious??? That explains why I only have GE as the a paint kit ... I have searched every single file and I can't find any PW textures for the engines.

Well I've searched the whole net but maybe I'm searching wrong anyway, there appears to be no paint kit for the PW version. GE it is, it's fictional anyways so I don't see the harm and since I paid for this stuff 1 year and half ago, I might as well get my money's worth. This would be the second time I paint an overland Md-11 ... I had previously painted one before but with my own special paint.
Alright, the paint is finished, I'll start laying out all the textures now and make the final adjustments.

The actual aircraft .... N278WA .... was in fact "P&W 4462" powered. Here's her complete history .... having been operated by WORLD AIRWAYS, PHILIPPINE AIRLINES, EL AL, AVIANCA, AIR ASIA, GARUDA INDONESIAN AIRWAYS, and SON AIR at different intervals .... www.planespotters.net/Production_List/McDonnell-Douglas/MD-11/48746,N278WA-Boeing-Capital-Corporation.php Mark C AKL/NZ

What do you guys think? I forgot to do the chrome ring for the tail engine, will do it when I get around to it but you can see the reflective chrome rings on the wing engines...is it alright or did I over do it? lol I think I may have screwed up the tail logo just a bit. I feel like ditching the flag and moving the title down a bit, indecisive right now. I think I may have also gone over board with window drainage dirt....just like your feed back on this, there is dirt streak on the flight deck window areas as well. Also the wing root bottom needs to be adjust so it blends with the bottom fuselage color.....its trial and error the way overland did that part. I'm done with it for tonight, I'll finish it off tomorrow, hopefully.

WHOA WHOA WHOA that looks good!!!!
Everything looks perfect. If you are not happy with the flag's location, then move the flag to rear engine cover in front of red stripe.
Everything looks perfect!!! Please test it in night to be sure window lights and tail light are working.

hehehhehehe The main reason I remind you or anybody is that I dislike seeing window lights not matching the windows. Some painters do not put window lights on windows. They put window lights between windows!!!
LOL

I see that a lot! They do that cuz their lazy and their anxious to release the livery to get out there, lol. Id rather take my sweet time and actually fly the bird day and night for at least a few days and when I think it's ready for the public, I put it out there, this gives me time to test and avoid upload a FIX!
And now that you mentioned the night textures...I just realized I never did any for the DAE livery...oh my...see that's what happens when you rush things.

A little preview! I'm up early today to finish this livery off. Not much to do; correct a few paint errors, prepare a reflective alpha channel for the grey bottom side of fuselage, prepare tail night & fuselage night maps. It is 7:09 am my time I should be done at around 12 pm or before that if all goes well. I'll prepare a higher quality video with better shots and more detail followed with plenty of screen shots. I'll upload it when I think it is safe to do so. I should do an iFDG livery as well, the port over is easy since I have all the vector layers but I think it would take a good day of work to get that done so maybe later but I will have it as an option, I have to re-start work on the DC8 project soon and then theres the SPIRIT MD-83 I'm working on....I'm going SUPER SLOW AND GENTLE with that one because it has been so involved, I want it to be perfect/almost.

Very very very nice video!!! I see you found solution where to put national flag but I do not think people like the idea of putting national flag in back of engine because few years later, it will be covered with jet blast dirt. My suggestion is to put flag on near front of front of red stripe (in center between rear engine's chrome rim and red stripe). The GE logo on engine covers should be reduced as it is way too big:) That is just my personal opinion and GREAT GREAT VIDEO!!! BTW, I do not think anybody is flying IDFG MD-11. More likely Overland which offers more superior exterior appearance than IDFG. Good luck Regards, Aharon

Ok cool, i'll move flag to front engine area and make the GE logos smaller, I think they are a bit exaggerated as well!
