When I use MS FSX I always have to raise the flight deck seat on most aircraft in order to get the proper perspective. I do this by using the Ctrl +Q keys. Shift + Enter does not work on my FSX installation. Now , the problem arises....when I use the hat switch on the yoke the flight deck view returns to its original position and then I have to readjust all over again. This becomes a real PITA especially when doing visual approaches where it is necessary to look out the sides. Some how these two actions are connected but I have no idea how to correct this. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Herman

I would think it was connected to your Control Assignments, and also a FSUIPC if you have it installed. Try to check you Hat-Switch assignment...

I have had the same problem since I installed FSX about 6 years ago. Thanks Dan, I'll check it out. Herm, If you use shift control Q then it moves your view point the opposite way. Falcon

OK Dan and falcon. Thanks for your reply. I do have an unregistered version of FSUIPC. The Hat Switch assingment is: Event= View (pan) Joystick= Hat Switch Repeat= Slider bar 50% What do I need to change ? Herman

What do you want the Hat Switch to do?, apparently it pans your view currently...

OK Dan. I think the problem is not so much the View (pan) issue because, as I understand it, in FSX there really is no pan for the flight deck because FSX does not have any virtual flight deck. I think what I was initially after, concerns the "View Point" up and down. In other words, being able to move the pilots seat up or down. The Key or Button assingments in both FS9 and FSX for the View Point are "Shift+Enter". This works fine in FS9 but not in FSX for reasons that I cannot determine. ? So I am asking now....is there a way to correct this. Herman
