Good Evening,
I am having problems with the panels for the HJG DC-9, for some reason after installation, I go the following error messages when launching FS2004.
As a result when I try to fly the HJG DC-9, the simulator crashes, so unfortunately I cannot use your DC-9.
What can I do?

I'm sure that you will like the DC-9 jetliners from HJG with their fantastic panels and engine-sounds.
Klaus
PS: How did you solve your problem?

It's highly likely that all of this's happening because you've installed either the GAUGESOUND.DLL .... or the FSSOUND.DLL .... or both of these modules .... in the wrong FS9/FS2004 folder.
As stated within the installation intruction which accompany the HJG DC9 PANEL CORE FILES download
- The FSSOUND.DLL module must be installed inside the "MODULES" folder of FS9/FS2004. One must also, then, locate the FS9.CFG and apply (copy & paste is recommended) the following edit ....
[OLDMODULES] FSSound.dll=1
.... and then "SAVE" this edit.
The purpose of this particular edit is to cancel the harmless "pPOtentially Incompatible Software" advisory which, until this edit is correc tly applied, will appear whenever FS boots up.
- The GAUGESOUND.DLL (an entirely separate component) must be installed inside the "FLIGHT SIMULATOR 9" folder of FS9/FS2004. Do not install this particular module inside the MODULES folder .... which, I suspect, is what you've probably gone and done .... and which will, then, result in a CTD whenever one selects any HJG DC9 (using the HILMERBY/CARTY DC9 panels offered by HJG) from the Aircraft Selection Menu.

To further assist you ....
"THIS" is the procedure one should be following when installing the "DC9 PANELS CGAUGES/CORE FILES" components of the HJG supplied HILMERBY/CARTY DC9 panel series .... as follows ....
Kindly review and follow each of the above steps/procedures "PRECISELY" as outlined.

Hi Mark,
I had to re-install my FS9 recently and I forgot to add the GaugeSound.dll and FSSound.dll correctly. Of course my FS9 wasn't very amused about that, but after arguing with Flusifix (a great freeware swissknife for FS9 and FSX) and my FS9, I found my mistake.
Now I can enjoy all those great HJG Jetliners again on my new Windows 8-Laptop (I had to buy me a new machine, since my previous machine and its OS were getting old).

I solved the problem when I went back for a second look in the panel installation manual. I had omitted the step of tweaking the FS9.cfg file. Now it's all fixed. I like the challenge of this new panel when it comes to starting the aircraft and operating the hydraulic system.

hello, first of all mr aerofoto - HJG Admin thank you for your explanation, I managed to solve the problem. I would have another in practice all this is due to a panel that I installed on the b737-400 by default, then the 2d panel works correctly, while the 3d or VC does not work, the panels are all off

Can't quite decipher what he's trying to communicate here The DC-9 panels we offer are 2D .... only. None of our DC-9 simulations are VC oriented. And there's no relationship between our DC-9 simulations and the VC supported FS9 B737-400 .... at least not beyond the default PANEL assignment inside the base packs (like the default SOUND assignment also) and which is only intended for those whom choose not to install the panel/s we offer or those offered by any other parties either. ANYWAY .... Mark C AKL/NZ
