I dont know if this aircraft or type has been proposed before, but if not I'd like to request that this RCAF CC-137 be painted up. I came across it somewhat by accident while doing some historical research on RCAF transport operations to DEW, Pinetree and Mid-Canada radar line stations, and found its history to be pretty interesting. One of the 5-aircraft CC-137 fleet, 13702 was built new for Western Airlines as a 707-347 model, but Western cancelled the order before delivery and the entire group was sold to the RCAF for use as transports. The aircraft served out of CFB Trenton with the No.437 Squadron for its entire career before retiring in March of 1993, after which it was sold briefly to Aero Brasil before being purchased by the US Air Force. Joining the majority of its RCAF Fleetmates in the E-8 Joint STARS program, this was one of two airframes not to be parted out for spares and has since been converted to a E-8C Model aircraft and carries USAF serial number 96-0043 and operates of Warner Robbins AFB in Georgia. It's a "CC137" .... operated by 437 SQDN RCAF .... and unless I'm mistaken (since I didn't have time to review all of the AIRLINERS.NET photo pages provided per the above link) I think that particular livery was a comemorative one .... marking 27 years of B707 operations by the SQDN or the RCAF generally ....and which was applied to aircraft # 13703 (only) just prior to it's retirement from service during 1997. "YES" .... HJG do currently host the standard/definitive 1994 era RCAF CC137/B707-320C texture on the "B707-320C" downloads page .... representing aircraft # 13702 .... .... and which could, possibly, be used as a texture base for this other aircraft on the basis of a tail edit being added to it. I do have artwork relating to the Husky tail livery. "IF" .... any one of the HJG painters care to represent this particular livery .... as a prospective 2nd addition among the HJG CC137 inventory .... then I'll be happy to try'n supply them accordinly and on the basis of their first letting me know. Wow, I must have been blind not to see that at the top of the 320C page! Well, that livery more than satisfies my need to have a Husky in the hangar, but I suppose it'll be up to the painters to decide if painting the commemorative edition or maybe even the E-8 variant of the airframe is worth their time! Thanks!
