DC-9's from the Southwest of the US

Hello HJG Members,

I've found 2 airlines from the Southwest of the US flying DC-9-15's and 30's.
We have already the DC-9-15 in the old Sunworld International Airways livery, but here is the last livery on both versions:

And here is the other airline, Emerald Air, which has not the best livery but in case someone would be interested...

This last DC-9 got also an interesting livery with Continental, which called the livery and airline as Continental's Houston Proud Express:

If anyone has a story about the last one, I would be interested to know more about that name

Continental-Houston Proud Express is in the Downloads Section already!

Emerald Air operated a DC9-14 in the mid 80's connecting service on behalf of Continental Airlines from Houston Intercontinental Airport to Houston Hobby Airport, called the Houston Proud Express.Fares were $15 each way,a distance of 38 miles.

Matt,Those were the days! I used to fly Air South Boeing 737-200's from Jax to Miami round trip for $17 to $21 depending on the day of the week,a cheap fun day out!

Yeah, I can imagine those were the great days ! Lots of airlines, so lost of choices at the time... Wish I lived during this era !
I've just checked Air South, interesting story too ! Do you know other small airlines like this one ? I'm curious... (and collecting models and safety cards of US airlines so I'm trying to find as much as possible information and names...)
