WELL .... "bugger me running" .... that's our/AIR NEW ZEALAND's old DC8-52 ZK-NZC I even flew on her a couple of times. -NZC was one of the original 3 new-build DC8-50's delivered to TEAL/AIR NEW ZEALAND during the mid 1960's. Here's it's known operational history .... There have been calls to try and have this particular aircraft (the only surviving member of the once 7-aircraft strong fleet of AIR ZEALAND DC8-52's) returned to New Zealand for preservation .... the DC8 being the aircraft which ushered New Zealand civil aviation into9 the jet agae. Sadly though .... I can't really see this actually coming to fruition CROWNAIR .... whom operated this particular DC8-52 for a short period during the late 1980's .... was short-lived Canadaian tourist/charter airline. Another ex AIR NEW ZEALAND DC8-52 (ZK-NZE) was also operated by a similarly short-lived Canadian tourist/charter airline .... POINTS OF CALL (C-FNZE) .... www.aussieairliners.org/dc-8/canadian/cfnze.htmlMark C AKL/NZ
