A few months ago, I posted a request for an experimental livery done by USAir, N978VJ. At the time, all I had was the photo and there wasn't sufficient proof to warrant a repaint. However, after some more searching, this photo was published in "Great Airliners: McDonnell Douglas DC-9 Volume 4" (1998) by Terry Waddington on page 103. Caption reads as follows: "Below: N978VJ is seen at Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport. (Jerry Stanick)"

As far as I can tell, this was the only aircraft to ever hold this livery.
