Hi: I have been wondering if anyone remembers Midwest Express Airlines or Midwest Airlines (old code YX). There used to be some JCA some MD80 varients like the MD81 and MD88 from Midwest but I've noticed that HJG does not carry them. They used to fly MD81's, MD82's and MD88's along with DC9's and Boeing 717's. I really would love to see some of the MD80 varients back again for FS. Hey there. This post really popped out at me because Midwest Airlines was one of my favorites several years back. There is already a texture out for the B717 in the newer Midwest Airlines livery after the rebranding. There are also old Midwest Express textures out for the DC-9-10/-30 series. Check them out. As of now there are no textures for the MD-80, however, I am currently experimenting with an MD-88 repaint with the hybrid livery (old livery with updated logo and titles). I will post some screenshots if you want to give me feedback. I also planned on painting the new (final) livery, but I haven't gotten around to that yet.

I used to be a F/A at Midwest for 22 years and flew the final day they operated. It was a KMKE-KDCA-KMKE round trip on a B717-2BL.

Oh that's cool. It's a shame that Frontier put an end to the iconic cookie I took these screenshots today of that livery I made that I mentioned earlier.

OMG .... its WONDEFUL !!! It really looks like the real aircraft !!! I flew on 701 MANY times as I did alot of West Coast Long-Hauls from KMKE. They used 701 and sistership N601ME for those flights. Occasionally they would substitute an MD-82 if one of the aircrafts was in the hangar, etc. A few years before they went away, they aquired N823ME, an MD-88. Your Awesome .... the paint job is Superb !!! PS (When can I have it hahahaha)

I've always been a big fan of the MD-80 series. Although they are gas guzzlers, they are good-looking and reliable aircraft. It's a shame to see so many in the scrapyards nowadays. Anyway, I'm glad you like the livery. I'm surprised at how well it turned out myself, especially since I'm not a pro at this and I don't have any special picture editing software. I made this on MS paint to be honest with you. I don't know if it could even be released on here because it's not really to HJG standards. What I mean by that is it's too pristine. It doesn't show every line, rivet, scuff mark, etc. I could update it, but it could take quite a while. But I think it's a great rough draft at least.
