I happened to notice recently that though there is a Spirit Md aircraft in the repaint list in the spirit 2nd mainline livery 2001 - N822NK - MD-82 there are no Spirit DC9s or md 80s in its original livery which was in use circa the late 1980s/early 90s to the early 2000. Is there anyway to add a skin for this airline to those variants in the official library? www.airliners.net/photo/Spirit-Airlines/McDonnell-Douglas-DC-9-41/2572199/&sid=ef20860e32a18dc7a74d93ae7e90bad0and also with regards to the MD 87, they used that vairient out of O'hare (ORD) in the late 90s early 2000 www.airliners.net/photo/Spirit-Airlines/McDonnell-Douglas-MD-87/0030266/L/&sid=ead3f730e3ae5290b88c120842ab31c5I know that a lot of work goes into what liveries make the cut and which don't and that it's very time consuming though I hope Spirits original "Catch the spirit" brand livery makes it with checkerboard transition livery when spirit when from a charter and low cost vacation airline to an ultra low cost bare fares airline. Hopefully the old Spirit Airlines and this beautiful livery seen in the skies from around 1996 to the mid 2000s is given the chance to don onto your great aircraft models. All the best.

As "MATT737" has already suggested it .... There's no point re-submitting suggestions for the same subject/s one's "already endorsed" within the original thread .... per a 2nd new thread .... and within less than 24 hours of having previously done so on the original thread either .... tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/7467/spirit-airlines-when-dc-mdIt's not going to increase it's chances of being done (for reasons stated within the original thread) .... since attempting to (even seemingly) push things can often have the reverse effect and tend toward "TURNING PAINTERS OFF" .... and then we all risk "LOSING" One suggestion/thread (like MATT737's) for any particular subject is really "quite sufficient" Mark C AKL/NZ

to be fair I didn't see the other tread until latter, the time stamp would show I created this and then discovered the other one and decided to comment on that one.^^
Though I do apologize for any misunderstanding.

Thank you so much sir. And even if those schemes never make it, it is a lot of fun flying these old birds and classics in FS and any new or updated liveries to add historical realism to the game is an added bonus, especially as HJG aircraft also make great ai planes, at least on my computer using Traffic X and Ultimate Traffic II. Hmm seeing ORD with Spirit in its original mainline livery would be epic though. The HJG models are among the best freeware around I'd say. Specially for those who like the older airlines of the 90s and prior like myself. More variety back then and better airfares with better services. Lots of smokey trails too!
